Unforuntately this wide scale cheating has become part of the game on the continent. How Portugal and Holland fans can defend their players is beyond me.

FIFA have the video evidence, dish out long bans and it wont happen again. Silly fines wont do the trick, has to be long bans, over 3 matches at the least.

Cole doesnt go down? Even Gerrard has gone down once or twice to get a penalty. I'm not a Portugal or a Holland fan, i'm Brazilian. (we have our fair share of divers too). The post was more directed at Paedo rather than English people in general.

But dont come with "English never cheat" or something. We have some doubts over your behavior off the pitch aswell.

Surrounding the ref ? Wow that's really something not to be proud of, my bad.. A real shame for football. Players should not try to talk with the ref at any cost. As if you don't see that in like every team

Both teams MUST be sanctioned for lack of sportsmanship, foul oriented play, and an intent to harm. Ivanov must be FIRED for failing as a referee. I have lost all respect for Luis Figo...both Maniche and he should have been carded and forced to miss the next game! Their best player was Miguel.... Ruud should have been brought on! Really dissapointed that the Dutch are done....game of missed opportunities. Hopefully England does not repeat.

Anyhow this a very young Dutch side which can only get better. Van Basten took a gamble leaving a lot of experienced players out of the squad.

I expect Holland will be major contender come 2010.

You got that right, the moment when I saw we had Ivanov as a referee I knew it was going to be a cardfestival, how the HELL can FIFA give this game to such an idiot?? He should be fired immediately forever this man is a joke for football.
