I dont think so, What if the is a faul in the middle of the field and one ref says one thing and the other says another??? Too much dilema. Damn, there has to be a way to make games fair! :crazyboy:

im neither, im in the middle, video tech should be used only for controversial goals, where teams complain, and all 3 refs do not agree, if all 3 refs agree on the call, no review needed

Never thought of that... :o
Guess could be another way! Altough it would take some time to ask all 3 refs theyre op. IMaybe the refs could wear microphones so they could talk to each other... And yeah, i know u ppl will say that there are leagues that cant afford that knid of stuff, and i would have to say: Do it in the leagues that have the $$ enough.. ;)

I think it would be rare for a foul to occur right in the middle of the field. The refs could decide before the game how they want the game to go so that there could be some consistency on the calls made

Fouls may occur anywhere in the field. And when I said in the mddle of the field, i didnt mean in the MIDDLE, i meant areas near the middle, or the middle :p

fifa could experiment it in a league, just like the EPl were going to experiment a winter break....give it a shot, if it causes too much commotion, scrap it

WTF! everything is wrong about that statement.

i thoght he wanted 2 refs to have less bad calls, but he says that refs could meet before the game to decide how the game will go? :|

It's not a matter of asking the video ref for every call because that would spoil the flow of the game. It's more a case of if there's a natural stop, ie. a goal, that the referee is uncertain about then he can ask the video referee to check it for him. It's not as if the teams can ask for the replay, because that would be bollocks.

If the referee is uncertain about the legality of a goal (there'd be a 20sec pause anyway) then he can ask for assistance. If the player misses then there's no need for the replay, but if he scores a goal then why not?

But the referee's decision is final. If he doesn't want the video ref's opinion, whether the goal was legitimate or not, then he doesn't have to use the replay.

It won't slow the game down that way, and it will improve the fairness of the game, and that's a good thing imo.

We'll have to see what happens.

Yes. What a joke that City/Fulham game was. Now we have the ref deliberatly ignoring an opposing teams' PK in order to cancel out his first bad call....two wrongs don't equal a right.

The word "soccer" was derived many, many years ago in England from the "soc" in the word "asSOCiation". Get it now? Old news with many past posts.:crazyboy:
