and i would say to that : "those are errors b!tch! they've been around forever, some complain, others give thanks. thats just the sport we love that we call football!!!!"

if it could be good for the game, then fifa or uefa or the respective leagues would've already made some changes. but its obvious that nobody wants the sport changed.
leave it to americans to use their video...and rugby....football doesnt need it.
if anything that should be done, it should be to improve the guidelines to become a referee and give them better training. thats it

The only way video evidence can be introduced is by getting a fifth referee to sit in a booth with TV's that have all the camera angles on them, and when there is a controversial call, he reviews it and speaks to the ref through an earpiece, sorta like NHL, they only call it if it's really controversial.

but then we wouldnt have the players like Ronaldo, Nistelrooy and other divers and that aint fun... its fun for me to watch a match and see a player dive and then the opposing players come to his face and cuss at him.

if they would introduce replays the game would deteriorate, imo a man is a man and he is gonna make mistakes its only natural.

The only video replays that the experts and pundits have been debating and calling,is to see if a ball has crossed the line or not. I wouldnt mind seeing a video replay also to see if a foul was inside or outside the box but thats it. We love football the most because of the way it is, if it turned more like NFL where u question every little decison id watch football far less, so to the people who want replays for everything, even offsides, sorry but no european football fan would want that.

Actually, a 2-1 finish in Man Utd's favor would have resulted in a tie because of the away goal rule. Man Utd would have had to win by 2 or more goals to advance. I do agree that it was onside and a replay would have easily shown this. (with only about ten seconds wasted time to see this on video as opposed to not even reviewing it at all.)

As far as replays delaying games, not much as you can see if you watch rugby which is not a start/stop type of game. I'd rather waste 30 seconds or so to get the correct call. Too many teams have had their seasons end due to an out-of-shape referee making a bad call because he was out of position. More time is actually wasted watching some of the idiotic celebrations after a goal. Stop the celebrations if video replay time is expected to be used!

I think having replays are good in debating if it was offside or a handball, but it would look too much like hockey, soccer is a unique sport, you cant start adding things from other sports. Im not sure if i agree or disagree, its a little bit of both i guess.

using video replays for offsides is going way over the top. No European based fan will ever want that or even think of it like gagiz said soccer is a unique sport, we watch it because it aint like NFL or Hockey, alot of people i know hate the NFL replay system, it's good for that strategy based sport but not for our football. But too call for a replay over every offside decision is dumb and will never happen thank god.

Yeh alot of Americans would agree but not Euopean fans. Our sports culture is different to yours, when you watch NFL and stuff you are used to Tv replays and stuff we aint, football hasnt changed much in 120 years so change wouldnt be welcome now,espeically when changing it into a more NFL style way which us Brits in particular hate.
