my ideal draw:

Bordeaux - Bayern
Man Yoo - Lyon
Real - Porto
Chelsea - Milan
Fiorentina - Olympiacos
Barça - Stuttgart
Sevilla - CSKA
Arse - Inter

Can't happen, Bayern are same group as Bordeaux, and hopefully Real don't get bayern. :)

excellent point ... I made all the match-ups before getting to those 2 teams (they were low on my priority), and ended up being together ...

revised, and actually plausible, idea draw:

Bordeaux - Porto
Man Yoo - Lyon
Real - Bayern
Chelsea - Milan
Fiorentina - Olympiacos
Barça - Stuttgart
Sevilla - CSKA
Arse - Inter

Lyon to draw Barca yet again :D
next round, no problem ... but this round, I'd rather see Lyon get Ferguson's side ... it will take a fast, and physically capable side to oust Man Yoo ... Michel Bastos has the strength, pace, and lethality of shot to cause them serious problems ... then there's Pjanić, Källström, Cissokho, Lichi, Gomis, Govou, etc. ... it should make for a really good match for neutrals to watch ...

Right now, there's only a team who may stop/cause us problems and that's called Chelsea.

All other teams are having bad days, but still, this is Champions League and it's very unpredictable. That's what makes it interesting.

I don't have any preference right now, but just would like to see Ronaldinho back at Camp Nou.
Are you watching Chelsea lately? Chelsea haven't been in the best of forms the last couple of weeks. And you are clearly underestimating other teams. I think any team can beat any team at this point. We've got some quality teams in the last 16.

Draw:

Stuttgart - Barcelona
Olympiakos - Bordeaux
Inter Milan - Chelsea
Bayern Munich - Fiorentina
CSKA Moscow - Sevilla
Lyon - Real Madrid
FC Porto - Arsenal
AC Milan - Manchester United

I can see us getting knocked out by Lyon.:browsmiley:

I got what I wanted for Barça, but the only other "ideal pairing" was Sevilla-CSKA ...

Inter-Chelsea will be huge ...

Milan-Man Yoo is colossal on paper, but Milan have to turn up for the tie to live up to that billing; hopefully they can get it together proper by Feb ...

Lyon-Real will be a really good watch, as will Prandelli's Fiorentina v Van Gaal's Bayern ...

Porto have a real chance against Arsenal ...

hah, well, either way, he won't be going to Firenze on the Bayern bus, that's for sure ...

btw, you forgot to mention Aliaksandr Gleb amongst the "homecoming" players ... I'm sure he'll want to prove a point ... I don't think he will prove anything, but I'm dead sure he will want to ...

My bad, I was lazy to do a longer post.

Yeah, Chelsea hasn't been as good as they started lately. Actually, even Barça is not that strong team they know to be, but still we are having some good games and good results.

No, no. I'm not underestimating anyone. This is Champions League and there are no weak opponents. Just, I think that Barça can pass others without many problems.

For example, your MU is not even near their best form. I heard that you're having many problems with injuries (especially in the defense), but still, it's not the team it was some years ago.

Fair enough... But the games will take place in February. Thats 2 months from now: Form will definitely change...

Yeah we are having HUGE injuries with 2 backline of defence being out... 7-8 defenders out forcing Carrick and Fletcher to play in defence. But most of these defenders are expected to be back in January, probably before the champions league games :)

Anyway, a lot of homecomings :) Milan will be tough for Man Utd but I think we are more than capable to go past them.
