I thought Kewell would play more than two games in a row without injury.

England was on an upward trend until Capello decided to piss Crouch off. Peter Crouch would've led England to the World Cup. No Crouchy, no party.

-I thought Zlatan Ibrahimovic went to Juventus too early in his career, only being signed because of that one goal he made against NAC. I subsequently believed his career would fail because of it.

-I thought Robin van Persie would never make it at Arsenal.

-When Rafael van der Vaart and Wesley Sneijder broke through at Ajax, I thought Raffie was the most talented of the two and would therefore have the most succesful career of them both. In terms of talent I still think Raffie has the edge on Wes but in terms of prices won this has proven not to be so.

-I thought Daley Blind sucked as a defender, only being in the squad because of his dad and would be playing for some mid-table Eredivisie team by now. Then De Boer decided to move him to midfield...

-I thought Pelle was a bad signing for Feyenoord.

I read somewhere that Pep threatened the players they weren't allowed to attend Oktoberfest if they wouldn't win against Paderborn. That's sacrilege in Bavaria.

Starting XI
I thought Darron Gibson would become a decent backup player for us at first, but then quickly realised he didn't have much more to his game than his long shots (that rarely ended up in the back of the net anyways) and was just a mediocre midtable team player waiting for the right moment to get shipped out.

Team Captain
I thought that one day, Luke Chadwick would replace Beckham on the right side and that he would play for England. He went downhill quickly.
