Italian clubs had bad luck in CL draw, but Parma couldnt have gotten a better one. I know youre not supposed to underestimate opponents, but if they can beat Sevilla and Stuttgart they shouldnt have too much trouble against Austria Wienna

don't think Sporting will get past Newcastle but if they do they'll reach the final.

Whoever wins Sporting x Newcastle will go to the final with Parma that's my bet.

Austria Vienna beat two decent Spanish teams to get where they are, as well. It was no cake walk for them.

Look at Parma's lineup, they played these players from the get go and are still there:

1 Bucci; 5 Bonera, 28 Cannavaro, 4 Bovo; 19 Pisanu, 6 Bolano, 35 Dessena, 30 Simplicio, 29 Camara; 40 Vignaroli, 24 Gibbs.

NO Gilardino, Morfeo, Marchionni...

Final score: Newcastle,1 - Sporting,0

Considering how we played, it's a good result.
The worst part is that our best scorer, Liedson, will not play the 2nd leg, due to the 3rd yellow card.

I'm pleased with the win and especially the clean sheet but i know for a fact Sporting are much better than that and we're going to have to be on the top of our game to get the required result in the return leg.

Sporting losing Liedson for the next match is huge. With Liedson I would have thought it this draw was still 50-50, but now I think Sporting's chances or considerably lower. Douala and Sa Pinto really have to step up, same with Barbosa & Rochemback or else it's bye-bye time in a hurry...
