O jogo da SuperTaça Cândido de Oliveira poderá estar em risco, caso os clubes participantes (FC Porto e Benfica) levantarem problemas quanto ao estado do relvado do Estádio Municipal de Coimbra, palco da partida agendada para esta sexta-feira (21.15 horas).

A revelação é do próprio presidente da Federação Portuguesa de Futebol (FPF), Gilberto Madail, que, em entrevista à Renascença, diz ser «inadmissível que se tenham gasto milhões de euros em estádios e, de um momento para o outro, o relvado ficar completamente deteriorado». «E será possível o jogo ser adiado? Se os clubes levantarem problemas, haverá razões para pensarmos nessa situação», explicou.

the game has to be played! they have a sold out crowd and live tv coverage! there's too much in risk for they to call it back!

yep. the roteiro and the nike.

the adidas roteiro is the superliga official ball so the clubs use it in the trainings but master Madail forgot to inform Benfica and Porto that the FPF official ball is the Nike, so they reach this pathetic and third world agreement of use 1 different ball in each half

We play alot better than Porto tonight... but it stills the same problem as ever... finnishing...

Sokota is a ghost.

Ricardo Rocha should've played instead of Argel... but well, i like this Benfica... lots of chances and good plays.. we own porto in the first half... I just hope we get better in finnishing...

Manuel Fernandes renova até 2010

A SAD do Sport Lisboa e Benfica renovou o contrato profissional com o jogador Manuel Fernandes, até 30 de Junho de 2010.

Esta renovação com o atleta, vem na sequência daquilo que é a aposta da SAD benfiquista, ou seja, renovar com os atletas formados no clube e com uma larga margem de progressão.

Actualmente com 18 anos, Manuel Fernandes, disse em exclusivo ao nosso site que «estou muito feliz com esta renovação. Sempre estive disposto a renovar com o Benfica, que é o clube do meu coração».

Manuel Fernandes referiu ainda que «a partir de agora estou unicamente concentrado nos dois próximos jogos, terça-feira com o Anderlecht para a Liga dos Campeões e depois na jornada inaugural da Superliga, frente ao Beira-Mar».

O jogador do Benfica espera ainda «conquistar muito troféus com a camisola do clube», ao longo dos próximos anos.

Is there a reasonable explanation for R.Rocha not being in the team in yesterday's game?

Argel is a liability, he may be an important player to motivate the locker room but he can't be used in important games.

Luisao on the other hand played very well yesterday, I think he has improved a lot over the last year.

I just hope Luisao and R.Rocha start against Anderlecht

Same opinion here... Manuel Fernandes is MUCH better that Paulo Almeida... but, well, Almeida is doing a good job.. so Either Almeida or M. Fernandes are good options for the midfield...

As for Argel... I REALLY hope that Trap open his eyes and put RRocha against Anderlecht...

Giovanni Trapattoni recebeu ontem uma boa notícia, no entanto, tendo em conta que pôde finalmente contar com Carlitos durante o treino realizado da parte da tarde no Estádio da Luz. Recorde-se que o extremo-direito contratado ao Estoril se lesionou durante o estágio em Nyon, ao sofrer uma tendinite no bicípete crural do joelho direito (16 de Julho). Desde essa altura que o internacional Sub-21 português se tem limitado a efectuar tratamento e trabalho de ginásio.
