Why is it a terrible representation?

The mechanics aren't realistic. The gameplay isn't realistic. The ratings aren't realistic. For the most part in this game, speed kills and can overcome anything else. So some 70 rated WR with 90 plus speed can give an all pro cornerback trouble. It's just plain unrealistic.

They have the market cornered since they have sole possession of the NFL license, so they can release a sub par product and people are forced to buy it if they want an NFL game. Also since they seemed to put all their eggs in the next gen basket, the current gen version is sorely lacking. It's basically a polished version of 13 with some gimmicks added here and there. But if you can get past it, it can be a fun game especially to play with others due to the competitive factor.

Hahaha these are all the same issues as cricket, AFL and rugby games have. Cornered market so don't have to improve etc. But with our sports not even being annual the issues are exaggerated

Madden is a terrible representation of American football but if you can get over that it has it's fun factor. I imagine you're referring to current gen Madden, so don't expect much of a change from 13 to 25.

Also once you get the basics you can pretty much learn by doing or trial and error.

2K14 is only worth it on Next Gen. I dont think anyone really plays Madden anymore.

Hahaha. Because you are an expert on all of the world's sports, and the video games based on them.

I'm positive I've watched more American football than you've watched cricket, and played more Madden than you have the cricket games on various consoles and PC.

I can also ensure you that the cricket games are less realistic. Throw the AFL and Rugby League game into that too.

No, sounds promising in the reviews, but with a steeper learning curve than most cricket games.

And the typical random bugs. I'm waiting for the PC version.

They can only make good basketball simulation games. The 2k baseball series is pretty crappy and can't come close to the The Show series, so much so that they scrapped it after last year.
