The Regen Test

On the back of Cody's opnions in the Players Forum ive decided to do a little test

on my Millwall game (CM0304) im in Jan 2005.

Ive used CMScout to find some oldies who i think MAY retire at the end of the season and their respective potentials:

• David Seaman - 180
• Denis Irwin - 165
• Des Walker - 155
• Gianfranco Zola - 170
• Martin Keown - 169

Quite simply at the end of the season when the new players are created i shall see if any appear, using a 5 potential leighway.

E.g. David Seaman Regen - 175-185

Rivaldo regen potential ability 170 appeared soon after Rivaldo retired:

Van Buyten, DC, Belgian, potential 170
Ricardo Carvalho, DC, Portuguese, potential 165
Christian Rahn, ML, German, potential 180
Nihat, F R/C, Turkish, potential 185
Lupatelli, GK, Italian, potential 175
Denilson, AML, Brazilian, potential 180

this players all are retiring almost sure (I searched them through player/staff search). they all have the (ret.) button in fron of their name

Thats Rivaldo alright, The original Rivaldo started his career at Cruzero.

ermm, that doesn't seems quite right, but please correct me if i'm wrong ...

Rivaldo did went to Cruzeiro for a while after he was release by Milan, he stay a while at Cruzeiro because of Luxemburgo, he quits Cruzeiro after Luxemburgo was sacked ...

before this, the clubs he played before are listed clearly in CM ...

Sorry, I meant that Cruzeiro was where he was born, his home town.

not sure about that though, but through the information i gathered, most said that he was born in Recife, but some say Paulista which is not far from Recife, and Cruzeiro would form a triangle with the other two cities ...

I think i found Hierro's regen althou he aint that good he has a pot ability of 179, Spanish D/DMC which is the same position as Hierro and Hierros pot ability is 178 so i think its his regen. Heres a pic of him EDIT in my game Hirros is assistant manager of Valencia and i found this player this year which is 2006.

Also here is a pic of Hirros that shows him to be identical to the player i found, It shows Hirros position which is same as the player i found. Also i have 2 save games i with Roma, which is in 06 and i with Parma that is just started which i never play anymore so i get my old player info from there.

I think this might be Seamens regen, this player just appread this year. which is 2006 Seamen has a pot ability of 180

I think i found Maldinis regen too. This player has same pot ability of Maldini and is Italy plus a defender. Only difference is that he is a DL and Maldini is D LC but if i am correct i think Maldini started his carrier out as a DL and they became a DC if i am not wrong.

I don't think he's Maldini regen cuz he hasn't got the same position, Maldini: DLC, Gatti: DL

Yea but didnt Maldini start out as a DL when he was a pro player and then he was developed into the D LC role!??

no, on CM0304 he starts as a DLC, hence the regen will be a DLC

Finished the season, the players retired, test 1: did they appear immediatly?
Van Buyten: Not even a single Belgium defender appeared after van Buytens retirment with a potential 160 or more.
Carvalho:No regen either
Rahn: decided to retire later
Nihat: no regen either
Lupatelli: One possible regen: Michele Proietti, potential 174
Denilson: Not a single brazilian regen appeared for the attacking midfield position.

When I reach january, I'll report possible regens again....

Im going to try this. I am in the end of 2005 in my game. Ole Gunnar is retiring. Figo already retired but I found a guy with a similar potential ability show up at Man City reserves 20 years old. Portuguese also. Dont know if its him.

the regens of them after 1 year of play:
Van Buyten: no regen
Ricardo Carvalho: one portuguese regen appeared, a sw/dc, can't be him
Rahn: decided not to retire
Nihat: no regen
Lupatelli: still one possible regen, Michele Proietti
Denilson: no regen at his position appeared within a range of -/+ 10 potential.

The regens don't appear after more than 1 year, and therefor don't exist I think.

If someone doesn't believe, I can provide screenies....
