Tom Cruise Wedding Causes Beckham-Capello Rift

Fabio Capello has denied David Beckham the chance to attend Tom Cruise's wedding in Italy, leading to more tension between the duo.

Beckham had been ruled out of this weekend's game against Racing Santander at the Bernabeu with a knee injury.

It was not as if he would have played, anyway, but having been left out of the squad, the former England skipper was planning to travel to Italy - to attend Tom Cruise's wedding to Katie Holmes.

However, Capello left no doubt about what Becks would be doing over the weekend, when asked about this in a press conference.

"That [the wedding] is not my problem," he said. "David needs to stay in Madrid and work [on his injured knee] this weekend."

There have already been talks of a rift between the two given the Englishman's lack of first team action, which has even led to delays in Beckham extending his contract beyond the end of this season.

However, the public snub has reportedly left him with no choice but to look for a move away in the summer. A return to England, or even a spell in America, have been mentioned. Celtic and Inter have been the latest to come into the picture.

Yea enough of this Beckham talk, anyone see the game? I was at work but we won 3-1 Ramos, Reyes, and Diarra for us. Looks like Robinho does not get that he can use Robinho and Reyes at the same time...but anyway nice win. Also like Seven8 said why so many cards? Was there a fight at the end or what?

we played good and fast football. 3-0 linkup was amazing! it could easily have been 5-1. numerous chances to score more. Diarra was really good this match, and i think he finally won over the Bernabéu crowd. ;)
all three goals were beautiful. the way the team linked up to 2-0 and 3-0 was just amazing. kind of reminded me of the old RM. :clapwap:

i dont think Guti´s red card was correct. i hope we try to annull it.

Marca is saying we won but not with so much confidence and saying how Iker saved us. Looking at the stats, it looks like they had quite a bit of chances for Racing.

i dont get why do you guys pay attention to this kinds of things like come on he is injured its not like he doesnt want to play he cant becks is human you know just like you and me the only difference is that he plays at real madrid and we dont he has a life just like we do well at least i do dont know about you it cant always be all about football eventhough he gets pay to play football just give him a break!:kader: :taz: :kader:

Diarra MoM IMO. What a fantastic and unfairly disallowed old school goal by Raul. I'm worried with Guti´s red card, Valencia is a hard place to play without our brain :(

He is a dumb ass for doing that, thats was tupid and crazy what he did epecially with such a big game coming up, it was defently a red card no doubt.

to the game we played well controlled the game except for the last 10-15 minutes when guti got sent off, dont listen to marca, about 5 of theire shots came at the end of the game (and they had 8 in totall). diarra played well and so did reyes, i think he will start against lyon instead of robinho and rightly so.

i think capello should do something about guti, he should have a talk with him telling what he did wasnt right because that is not the way to behave at real madrid elbowing him in the face that was not on, if he got sent off unfairely or a second yellow card i would have no problem with it, but what he did wasnt good and i hope capello teaches him a lesson.

Great match yesterday! Dont believe Marca, we played very good! But wtf was wrong with the ref....giving 3 players yellow in the final secs. Guti's red card was fair, it was STUPID of him!! Now we dont have a playmaker against Valencia :(!!

BTW, Capello was very angry about Guti, because of the Valencia game AND he wanted to let Nieto get a debut in the Bernabeu!! Now, maybe someone can tell me something about Nieto, because I dont know alot about him! (face, datboy, socrates ???...I NEED INFO ;))
