What, like in 2002? Believe me, I think Woodgate is/was a good defender, and was, though it was a bit inflated, worth his pricetag. But there is no way he gets ahead of Terry at this point. The pecking order, as of now, should go Ferdinand, Terry, Campbell if he can get games at Arsenal, Carragher, King, and then Woodgate. He may surprise me when he finally gets playing, but he has got a long way to go to get back to the fitness he needs for England.Dazmania said:wow, i must say how impressed i am with the patience you guys have shown with Woody. He's an immense CB when he's fit, i'd choose him over Terry in the England squad anyday... when fit.

you could get him in a decent deal
1. Agreed: Woodgate is worldclass when at his best, and there can be no doubt about itDazmania said:When Woodgate gets going and has a very decent run of games under his belt he is up there with the best in the world. I also think that his style of play also fits better with Rio's than Terry's does. And there is no way that Rio is going to get dropped. He's the best defender in the world at the moment, better than Terry.
Dazmania said:meh. you're a Chelsea fan. i'm a Man Utd fan. we have different opinions. we're not gonna agree. can't be arsed to argue.
btw - the whole Silvestre thing was a joke, although if the right offer came in i'd be surprised if we didn't sell.
Nobody plays quite like JT But seriously, Madrid have made a smart decision by sticking by Woodgate. I guess they didnt wanna lose their investment for nothing, but he seems like a genuine guy, and Im sure that if he gets back to proper health and form, he will play like a man possessed as a thank you to the club. Just pray he doesnt play too hard, or else he could end up back at sqare oneRUSI said:If Woodgate could play anything like Terry did for Chelsea last year I'd love it.
Terry was a machine last year.
Just pray for Woody's health
if we get another cb, maybe we willRUSI said:This season will be our 50 year anniversary of when we won our first European Championship.
How about we do another 5 year run of Champions Leagues

wtf? first "Real Madrid has to sell Samuel to get Ramos" and now "Real Madrid has to sell Owen to get Ramos". we shouldn't sell 2 great players to get a 19-yrs-old "prospect"
