Sacchi sees Real Inter Scudetto

Arrigo Sacchi believes that the influx of three former Real Madrid stars, including Luis Figo, will help Inter to the Scudetto.

“The team at Roberto Mancini’s disposal now is practically perfect,” said the Merengues director. “Figo, Walter Samuel and Santiago Solari are the right signings for Mancio’s 4-4-2 system.”

Fans hope that the new arrivals can have the same impact as Esteban Cambiasso, who joined from Real on a free transfer last summer and impressed in midfield.

“I am not just praising them because up until a few weeks ago these players were at Real and therefore under my tutelage,” assured Sacchi in the Corriere dello Sport. “I am evaluating the tactical balance of the team patron Massimo Moratti has given to his Coach.”

The Scudetto again appears to be a three-horse race, but the failure to win in Europe could lead focus elsewhere.

“As always, the pressures of the Champions’ League will be decisive for the top three Serie A clubs,” added the former Italy boss. “Inter are up there and very close to matching Juve and Milan’s quality, but with external factors going their way, they could capture the title.”

========================================================

At first I was kind of confused/disappointed at the moves Sacchi had made in Transfer season for Real, but now it all makes sense. He's working under the table for Inter. I cant wait for the press conference when he shockingly hits Florentino Perez in the back with a steel chair and than rips off suit to reveal Inter shirt and climbs on table smashes two beers together and drinks them both

:$

Don't forget about flipping Perez and everyone else off. ;)
BTW I'm surprised no one mentioned this earlier, it's sorta obvious. :read:

Get Him !!!

He's 24, and definately won't be as expensive as Ramos(We can wait a year for Sergio).

I heard this guy is really good.

He'd be our 3rd Uruguayan of the summer.

good performance good to see Raul scoring again. And Owen's goal was gr6 i would never have expected him to stop and shoot.

we need Luagno he is pure class, he is 24(does he have a european passport ??) and he woudn't be too expensive

Yeah, I am pretty sure he has an Italian passport.

If he didn't have it, I am pretty sure we wouldn't be linked to him.

good that he’s got the Italian passport, was wondering already which brazilian you wanted to take out…

heard a lot and only good things about him – and not from marca or as…or the sun etc

That’s 1 reason why I’d want him above Ramos…
Here are the others:

He costs less, got more experience and is already settled being a football-star…

Young players tend to loose their feet quite a bit

IMO and for that I’ll get booed by most of you now - Ramos is not the quality player RM needs (yet), he has not had successive good seasons & class performances, let alone experience and the ability to “reign” a defense of a top club or hold it together with most of their players/tactics suited to attacking football.

I’d go for Lugano now, and next summer a lot cheaper for a more experienced Ramos as an understudy for Salgado and the CB’s

I'd prefer Ramos because he is Spanish, younger, and more versatile. Getting Lugano has benefits too but either way, it's great that we are being linked to centre-backs

How likely do you think it is that we will sign Lugano, personally im shocked we havnt made a move for Ferdinand, due to his situation.

You're being too picky :p

At this point, I'll take whatever we can get (H)

But, yeah, that would be ideal.

If we do get a defender, I'll be speechless.

I won't believe Florentino, 2 defenders; 2 midfielders; 1 forward :o
