So, any thoughts about the season so far? I know a lot of people are really liking Burnley, but how long do you think it'd take for Turf Moor to lose its impact?

Right now, this is my bet on the final standings:

1. Chelsea
2. Manchester United
3. Arsenal
4. Liverpool
5. Tottenham
6. Aston Villa
7. Manchester City
8. Sunderland
9. Everton
10. Fulham
11. Stoke City
12. West Ham
13. Blackburn
14. Bolton
15. Burnley
16. Wolves
17. Portsmouth
18. Wigan
19. Hull City
20. Birmingham

Bottom five to be very close, I can see any of them going down.

I would hope Tottenham could keep their form through the whole season but their chances are slim. Wilson Palacios is something else. He's by far Concacaf's best player ATM. I see him at a bigger club in England next season or in Spain.

Modric is out injured, and I think that's going to cost them, especially when they face ManU and Chelsea in his absence.

Portsmouth suck major ass, btw. I think I might nominate them for relegation rather than Wigan, or maybe even Brum. But Hull are going down.

Portsmouth's new multi billionaire owners will make sure they don't drop out of the premier league.

I think Hull, Bolton and Wolves will be relegated.

How? By replacing Distin, Crouch, Defoe, Diarra, Johnson (and possibly James and Krancjar)? Also, 4 of their starters are on loan. Unless they pull a City and spend 30+m on deadline day (on several players), they're probably going down. They might be able to spend in January, but that's a bit late.

They closed in to sign Honduran Osman Chavez in replacement but the man is new to the EPL so it will probably take him a couple of games to function.

Looks like Kranjcar is off to Tottenham. If they don't buy anything before the end of this deadline I will have to agree with you. But it surprises me that they haven't acted more quickly in the transfer market. As you say, January can be too late.

Portsmouth is just a mess right now with their revolving door. But I don't think they will be relegated. Definitely their next few games will be hell while they try to sort out their team, but come winter transfer, I see some ridiculous spending from them. They won't drop.

1. Chelsea thanks to Drogba and Anelka
2. ManU ='( (But I pray for your 4th straight prem title)
3. Arsenal - I really think Wenger's boys can do it
4. Man City
5. Tottenham
6. Liverpool - although I can see them beating out Tottenham
7. Everton
8. Villa

Overall, this season looks like it's going to be a tough campaign.
