I wouldn't risk my "mystique" either if I was Mourinho, the current situation is someone else's mess and should stay that way. I say they just give it to someone like Carlos Carvalhal or Oceano at this point and hope for the best for this qualification (which seems lost already

I dislike it too. And let's be serious, what has Liedson done this season or even the season before to even be considered for selection? Why shouldn't we give some opportunities to young Portuguese players?
About Paulo Bento, have to say wasn't a big fan of him but after attending a class regarding leadership and team management and development where he was asked to participate last year, I was impressed. He's really really good technically.
The only concern I can think of is if a similar situation to when he was at Sporting happens, where he isn't backed up by just about anyone and then the whole environment in the FPF starts (restarts) to affect the lockeroom.

As for Bosingwa, his stretch at the 17th min to recover the ball only confirms that he's indeed a great athlete. Even off-form and playing out of position he manages to do well.
