Eduardo gave up the winning goals in BOTH games, that's why mentioned him, but yeah things go much deeper than what happens on the field.

IMHO what's needed is have all the retards in the FPF brushed away in order to allow a fresh start to the whole organism, putting people in charge that actually give a **** and know wtf they are doing.

Then, maybe then, I can start thinking about supporting our NT with my full heart.

Eduardo already in the other game screwed up, but i agree the problems go much deeper, if we change everything i will support the NT, but like this, that's not the Portugal NT that i know

That's not really a problem for me, I'll cheer for the NT no matter what, what can I do it's my goddamned country.

Football-wise, how can Moutinho stay in the bench? I mean Meireles, Tiago and Fernandes have probably done like 10 minutes this season when you put'em all together. First substitution at 70'? What the ****? And for Danny, who I don't think too much of. I was almost afraid he was going to take out Almeida(one of if not the best player yesterday).

Look, bottom line is a draw would have been much fairer, Norway didn't do all that much and their goal was given to them. But we're not going to score if we keep on playing like we have no damn clue what we're supposed to be doing. I hope Ronaldo can step up (as a winger!), and with Moutinho getting a good season and Pepe and Bosingwa hopefully recovering, we are going to pull through.


Now, this talk of Paulo Bento? How the who when where what the?

No dia 14 de Julho de 2010, a Direcção da Federação Portuguesa de Futebol comunicou que a Selecção Nacional cumpriu dois dos objectivos subjacentes à campanha do Mundial 2010. Não dizemos nem dissemos que cumpriu os objectivos. Cumpriu dois dos objectivos.

Esses dois objectivos foram:
Por um lado, a qualificação para a fase final da prova (a sexta presença consecutiva nas grandes competições internacionais) e, por outro, o apuramento para a fase a eliminar.

Dissemos no dia 14 de Julho e voltamos a afirmar que o resultado fica aquém do que todos ambicionavam mas que foram cumpridos os objectivos mínimos.

QUANTO AO SELECCIONADOR NACIONAL

Face aos últimos acontecimentos, após a análise da actual situação relativa ao Seleccionador Nacional, a Direcção da FPF deliberou, por unanimidade:

1 - Resolver o contrato de prestação de serviços celebrado com o Seleccionador Nacional, Carlos Queiroz, com efeitos imediatos. Esta decisão já foi comunicada a Carlos Queiroz, a quem serão entregues, em primeira mão, os respectivos fundamentos;

2 - Iniciar, de imediato, contactos e conversações com vista à contratação de um técnico que assuma as funções de Seleccionador Nacional a tempo de preparar e orientar a equipa já nos próximos jogos de qualificação para o EURO 2012;

Mais deliberou solicitar ao Sr. Presidente da Assembleia Geral da FPF a marcação de uma Assembleia Geral eleitoral para os órgãos sociais.

Esta posição não consubstancia uma demissão nem uma renúncia ao mandato pelo que está assegurada a estabilidade directiva até à realização das eleições.

É importante referir que a Direcção mantém-se com plenos poderes e continuará a trabalhar como até aqui, tendo total autoridade para exercer as respectivas funções estatutárias.
