Well, i really like Cristiano Ronaldo but i think we need experienced players in this kind of tournaments. Simão ( i hope he can perform in our Nt as well as he plays in Benfica) and Figo are our best options. But Cristiano should be our secret weapon. The first one to be brought into the pitch if things start to go bad.
In my opinion, i would also like to see Deco as a starter instead of Rui Costa. Rui Costa is a great player, there is no doubt about that, but he didnt have a great season and i can´t remember last time he produced a good game for our Nt. On the other hand, Deco seems to be reaching his peak of form. His lasts games were extremely good and i would like to see him prolong his recent form in our Nt.
On another note, i wish that in Euro2004, everyones steps up and tries to take responsability and help Figo. With a "selecção", full of great and skilled players, we shouldnt be so dependent of a single player.
Im also confident that Pauleta will be in top form and that he will have a fantastic euro.

A Federação Portuguesa de Futebol renovou hoje, por mais quatro anos, o contrato com a Nike. É o culminar de ano e meio de negociações.
Assim, a multinacional vai continuar a fornecer, até ao final do Europeu de 2008, os equipamentos das equipas portuguesas, desconhecendo-se os valores envolvidos nas negociações.
Segundo o presidente da FPF, Gilberto Madaíl, nem sempre o organismo e a empresa estiveram de acordo com os termos de contrato, "mas depois de ano e meio de negociações a parceria foi renovada por mais um ciclo" que começou em 1996.
"A selecção portuguesa A é uma das equipas de referência na Europa para a Nike, que concebeu, em exclusivo, o equipamento que vai ser utilizado pelos jogadores durante o Euro' 2004", afirmou Gilberto Madaíl.

Dunno what to say, I kinda like their uniforms but everyone hates them... but I'm happy with renewing the contract, especially since if it wasn't for Nike we wouldn't have gotten Scolari to blame for everything.

I think this may be the first case of a player from Portugal going to a lower league, no offense to the Czech league at all, but there's more opportunities to join one of the bigger leagues through Portugal.

I had also already posted my prediction on the other thread, on Saturday.
Anyway, I already made one mistake. Moreira isn't going to be called up. So, I believe Hilário is going to be out 3rd keeper. I honestly don't think Scolari will call Baía. It's not like him to change his mind one moment to another... Still, it can happen, who knows?

I hope we don't get to see Postiga play in Euro 2004 bcs he's been crap this season but I don't disagree with the sacrifice of Boa Morte as if needed in last case we have two replacement wingers in Ronaldo and Miguel in last case. I'm happy with Maniche, I think he adds another type of depth to the squad.
The only think I don't like is Beto over Meira... even Rocha is better than Beto. I hope he doesn't play also.

Scolari chose to leave him out since the beggining. Scolari doesn't like to call old players to the team unless they are indispensable I guess.
