I wouldn't argue with that. But Terry contributes more to the team than Ricci does.

Personally I don't think there's a centreback out there that can do more than Carvalho. He reads the game well, he's a fantastic marker and has good timing. He has everything and he's also good on the ball and knows when to go forward. He's got goals and assists to his name, and not just through set-pieces, and I've seen him join the attack many times without ever getting caught out of position.

It's a shame he won't have many years ahead of him, although I would love for him to pull a Maldini.

actually its a pretty steep drop off when in regards to a Brazil B made up of Pepe, Deco, Liedson and maybe Paulo Assuncao

Deco in his prime(Barcelona), would have definitely had a starting eleven spot in the Brazilian squad, next to Ronaldinho(his Barça colleague).
Liedson would have been a great choice before the world found out Fabiano was awesome(Confed Cup)...

and Fabiano was been shown to the world if you had a decent stream or portuguese television.

his 2 goals in his debut game against Uruguay was his coming out party.

its inevitable our "motherland" fails in comparison to its "son". noone can take a 6-2 beating in Brasilia as quite as you guys :)
