Russia, France, Portugal and Greece cannot draw each other because they are / will be the seeded teams -- that's what the whole controversy about the decision by FIFA to seed the UEFA playoffs was/is all about ...

Yeah, just it depends on the draw. If Russia, France, and Portugal don't draw each other, they're gonna make it without too many problems. While, on the forth team, it depends on the draw. I love Irish, so I would like to see them trough as well. :P

Not sure about that...

Oh, really? I didn't know that. I thought it's gonna be a normal draw where you can draw everyone.

Nah, Blatter and Platini Changed the rules on a last-minute decision.

FIFA announced their decision with 2 rounds of the UEFA group stage qualification to go, which is why it was so controversially -- you know, changing the rules coz it looked like bigger [and more marketable] teams such as Portugal and France could only make the playoffs, and so it was more "beneficial" if it could be ensured through seeding that the big teams wouldn't face each other in the playoffs ...

that is what the anti-Blatter brigade will have you believe anyway, and also the anti-Platini brigade who believe that Platini wanted to ensure France has an easier path in the playoffs ...

I am not outrightly anti-Blatter or anti-Platini, because such outright declarations would be based in ignorance ... but I do think that the timing of this rule change was most inopportune, because it certainly lends itself readily to critics of the football governing bodies today ... basically, it was an unintelligent decision to announce and enforce seeding of the playoffs just 2 matches before the end of the group stage, instead of establishing the rules at the beginning of qualifying ... it sets a rather negative precedent to challenge for future rule changes even after the tournament -- as is the case this time -- has begun ...

I guess they gonna have problems only with Russia, France, or Portugal. Otherwise, if they draw any of other teams, I bet they gonna make it through.

That FIFA's decision seems to make football **** , which can lessen the fun (seeing many newcomers and watch their play) and they're selling their souls because of money.

I wanted to see France v Porgual in playoff :P

And seriously, what the **** is Greece still top seeded and have high fifa rankings? :/
Thinking that group 2 is made with power of Blatter.

Anyhow, they deserve a bit luck not to face these 3 teams. Bosnia will cause these 3 teams a lot of problems, but still only those Bosnian crazy fans would believe that their team is gonna qualify, and I'm not one of those. Actually, I don't care that much if they make it or not, but I just wanna see a 'small' team which showed great results in these qualifications make it to the finals. I love their coach though; he was Prishtina's coach long time ago.
B-H have quite a few talented players in their ranks: Edin Džeko is arguably the most recognizable for most people, after his Wolfsburg performances and for the fact that he was pretty close to signing for Milan ... his fellow Wolfsburg teammate Zvjezdan Misimović is another very good player ... Miralem Pjanić is just top class ... before he got injured, Vedad Ibišević was being talked about a lot last season as a striker ready to make the jump to the highest level ... I know Asmir Begović because he used to play for Canada at youth level ... and then there's Zlatan Bajramović, who is Ibrahimović's cousin, so he obviously has the right genetics to succeed in football (haha) ... Juve's Hasan Salihamidžić would have been there, but I think he retired a couple of years ago (I guess he didn't expect his nation to make it this far) ...

so they may be a small team by history and reputation, but they've got some talented players who, on their day, can mount a serious challenge against most anyone ... true, they got creamed today by an essentially second-string Spanish side, but I think it would be unfair to judge them based on one match, especially against a nation that will certainly be amongst the top 2 favourites to lift the trophy next season ... underestimating Bosnia-Herzegovina would be unwise for whoever draws them in the playoffs ... I hope they make it, no matter who they draw ...

We won yesterday. And i have some things to say. Queiroz is a good manager, but i think that he's not the right man to train the NT right now. The players are dead in the field like Queiroz in the bench. We need someone like Scolari who put the player at 120% in the games. It was the time when we were the best teams in the world. Since his left i never saw the NT games like before ( now is confusion after confusions, players not showing their class, no spirit... ).

Our best line-up at the moment may be:

---------------------Eduardo---------------------
-----------Pepe----------------Alves-------------
-Bosingwa------------------------------Veloso-
---------------------Mendes----------------------
-----------Deco-----------------Meireles--------
-----------------------------------------------------
-Ronaldo---------------------------------Simão-
---------------------Liedson----------------------

I dislike Eduardo, but Beto is in the bench at Porto so i cant say anything about his condition.

We dont have a LB, so instead of Duda who "gives away all the balls", i prefer Miguel Veloso.

Pedro Mendes is a great player i hope when i gets better he could bring his class to the field.

Besides of everyone opinions Ronaldo is playing sh*t like everyone in the team, but like always the one who takes the responsability is him, and thats unfair. Nani should have his mouth closed!

He's better than Terry imo, Terry may be better phisically, but Carvalho is one of the most intelligent center backs to ever grace the game.
