im glad gabby wants to stay, he is a good back-up to evra, though i have a feeling he might start ahead of evra in CL games.

what the hell is wrong with some people...can we just focus on football matters. Everytime ronaldo wins a penlaty its like the 8th wonder of the world... so much talk over it. No one mentioned how berbatov and dawson went down during that game.

Anyhow... hopefully a win against charlton

Yeah, he showed some good technique during that moment, it is a shame that it didn't go in, he deserved a goal today. Not one of our best perfomances of the season, but we have the 3 points, Charlton was fighting till the end, Park and Saha were MotM IMO, Fletcher and Scholes also had a good game, Giggs had his moments of brilliance. Vidic and Ferdinand were their usual selves, were well concentrated and Tommy didn't have a lot to do, he had one good save to make. I think Park is starting to show why SAF bought him, he keeps getting better and better, good finish to, he's not the best header but he managed to put the ball away well

Got the result, that's the important thing - I've not seen the game yet (I've only got Virgin Media cable and don't have Sky +) I've gotta wait till MOTD tonight, or MUTV tomorrow midnight to see the game.

Glad Fletcher did something useful for a change.

I wouldn't go as far as saying goals of the season, because Scholes already got that locked, but it would have been a Cantonasque-class goal.

Its just a boring day at work for the lads but business is still as usual.Hats off to Charlton for making it hard for us.I hope you guys see the difference what Carrick is not playing.Scholes just do not know what to do.Alongside Carrick,Scholes is the creative one and he is free to exploit opponents as he knows that Carrick will always have his back.Alongside Fletcher like last night,he is reserved which in turn limits our team's attacking chances from the middle. This was the sole cause of our stop-start football against Charlton.A win is a win nonetheless.C'Mon United as we march on towards Wembley.Reading is next at OT.

well put. Carrick has done pretty well this season. What I do not understand though, is Fergie's obsession with gettig Owen Hargreaves. Don't think he's that good.

ya i mean..if u get owen..
he would be 100% to start..
that leaves us with a problem..
whther to play scholes or carrick
a lower profile layer in stead of owen shall ddo.
even fletcher can provide backup..
or why not let a couple o' young ladds from the acaemy stan up??
selling david jones was the dumbest deal of the year by united

Anyone see larssons cheeky trick?

Launched the ball miles into the air, ran round the defender and brought it down. Haha legendary.

Nobody knows what SAF's plans are with Hargreaves, I think he just wants to give Carrick and Scholes rest when needed, just like yesterday, instead of Fletcher, Hargreaves could've played there or maybe he could've taken over Scholes's roll, nobody knows whether he will be a starter or not, I don't think so, there will be more rotation in midfield if Owen arrives

A good move by the club, it's about time we had something a bit bigger than the munich clock. I visited the museum exhibit at Old Trafford and it was very moving. My suggestion would be to erect a memorial of the entire 1958 team outside Old Trafford - like a metal sculpture of the team photo.

Also have you seen the News of the World? They're claiming Cristiano has demanded United make him the world's highest paid player or he's off to Barca!

I hope it isn't true (probably isn't) but Ronaldo would be a fool to try holding United to ransom.
