no he hasnt. he opted to stay and fight for his place...i dont want him to go, since he really hasnt proved himself as a striker...when he first came, he scored a few then was moved to midfield then got injured...

We need to offload Alan Smith as well I doubt we'd get much for him, there were rumours of him being loaned to Cardiff.

why should we cut out our striking depth further? that would be dumb. alan is a more than average backup to saha.

I'd always have Solkjaer in front of him and can't really see Smith wanting to stay if he doesn't get any game time , hes a good player but not Man Utd class. We need to recue Rossi aswell from the slow motion train wreck that is Newcastle United before they ruin his career , like they've done with most of their talented youngsters.

Rossi is our player they cant do anything to him. As for smith...i think he needs more games...if saha needs a rest hes capable of replacing him but at the moment nothing is going his way. He was disappointing in the last 3 games though.

first he has to work on his fitness levels after that he will probably get more games during the hectic christmas period.

Who was disappointing Saha or Rossi? If it was Saha, you'd better watch the games again. If it was Rossi, then I can't blame him because Newcastle are...

Rossi might have disappointed smb in the few games he played for NewHUstle U, but come on- their whole team is like crap lately!
i think Smith should be given one more shot, otherwise better let him on loan, since he cannot get playtime at all.
However if i were Fergie, i'd buy one more striker in the christmas break, so that there's a decent forward to backup Wayne and Louis in case they got injured.
I mean, i cannot imagine Solskjaer or Smith leading United to .. let's say the Champions League trophy.

well actually i do, i can see him, cos i really do like him as a player, as a person and also his behaviour outside the pitch, i think Ole is if not the best, then definitely one of the best players fergie brought to Old Trafford during his 20 year long stay. However! ( ) Ole is getting older and older every damn year, and his vulnerability to getting injuries seems to me to be rising
It's a shame really, but this is how things work. I think we, as i speak as a MU fan too, need definitely one more striker. Whether it would be winger, attacking midfielder or forward- we need one more player. :rockman:
Imgaine now Solskjaer and Giggsy getting injured, and let's say Richardson being suspended, then O'Shea will have to play left winger, or what@!?

edit: surely, i underestimate the fact that Ronaldo might be brought on whatever place of the attack the manager wants him, including the left wing, but.. i think Cristiano belongs to the right wing of the pitch. :rockman:

i just checked, that the first post of the thread hasn't been updated for ages..
I still states that Howard is GK and some other roster confusions from the previous seasons! :jambo:

I agree, we already offloaded too many people during the summer, and winning the league or champions league is not a sprit, its a marathon (as properly said in united rant). I think we need to start looking for replacements to giggs and scholes, while in the forward department i see us getting torres in the summer.

I personally reckon, that both O'Shea and Fletch are very good players. Whoever might have said that they should go away, i disagree.
I think O'Shea might have not that kinda perfect technique, however he is very very good fighter, and is because of this very valuable. I still remeber his lob in the Arsenal-MU 2-4 game a few season ago..
And Fletch is also very good player.
I think MU shouldn't turn into travellig circus, like Real Madrid - buying so called "stars", that are actually overpaid manequins isn't realiable. So, if somebody expects United to buy some kinda "NIKE-commercials-superstar", i'd say- better not!!!!
MU is a real team, not a travelling circus!!! O'Shea & Fletch belong to it and fit perfectly, i guess.
