Anyways, back to the NT

Raul has been playing as a 10, and it seems that he will take Luis Garcia's spotand will play a 4-3-1-2

according to Goal.com, Aragones has settled on a 4-3-3 formation. leaving Raúl on the bench! :o

-------------Casillas------------
--Ramos--Pablo--Puyol--Pernía--
-------------Alonso-------------
-------Xavi---------Fabregas---
--García------Torres------Villa--

Pernia will sub Del Horno on the NT!! :rockman: Now i just hope he takes Antonio Lopez place.

BTW Rusi are right, we're playing

---------Raul--------
----Torres--Villa-----

at least for the moment, on the friendly vs Egipt.

Is there any doubt now that Reyes should be a starter? Arragones better keep Villa in in the world cup, hopefully him taking out Villa and keeping in Torres was just to avoid injury or else Luis is truly a fool.

2nd half, xavi, iniesta, reyes, xabi alonso = impressive side. We played a great ground game once the subs were made and I think that if Arragones uses them we will have a great shot this year.

Luis is a fool no matter which way anyone looks at it, he keeps putting up the wrong lineups. Maybe he will somehow change when it comes time for the WC but I doubt it. Really he puts Albelda and Senna on the field at once? Pablo is crap, Ramos is better as a CB, Lopez should be the sub of Pernia, Reyes and Joaquin should play the winger/forward role with Villa in the middle...man what a team that would be.

How is Cesc playing? will he start in the WC?
He's doing very well, I think so. From what I've seen in the friendlies up to now, I'd stuck to

---------------Iker-------------
--Ramos--Puyol--Pablo--Pernia--
-------------Albelda------------
----------Cesc-----Xavi---------
---------------Raul-------------
--------------------Reyes-------
-----------Villa------------------

I place Ramos as RB cause Aragones isn't going to use is as CB. I don't like Albelda at all but I think he's necessary to keep the defensive order (though in the group stage or vs weak rivals I'd use Xabi Alonso).

Reyes is in an excellent form so no doubt he has to sub erratic Torres.

No, there´s no need for Albelda. Put in Senna, he's been great. With this lineup we would be fantastic, but damn Arragones probably won't use it:

------------Casillas------------
Salgado--Puyol--Marchena--Pernia
-----------Senna-------------
-------Cesc--------Xavi----------
Jouaquin-----------------Reyes
--------------Villa--------------

No Ramos and Marchena playing....right....apart from that, the lineup looks very nice.

Oh and IF Raul can play as great as people are saying he did they could be used but only if he is on form to play, if anyone starts slipping they should be droped.

Aragones is making the Spanish media happy. He'll be like Iñaki Saiz. Spain has talent and potential but the NT doesn't have a coach with guts.

Iniesta has been the best Spanish midfielder in the last months and he won't even get a proper chance. Besides he's fresh unlike other players because he's shared minutes with other players at Barça. He'll be like Xavi in the Euro2004, a talented benchwarmer. There are certain journalists who will never give him the credit that he deserves just because he's friend of Jose Ramon de la Morena.

Finally he realized he needs to sub Villa!

As long as Raul is in the starting team it's all good..
What an obsession with Raul. Agree that being the spanish pichichi Villa must start, but Raul is much more useful for the team than Torres, so Torres is the man to sub to start Reyes.

On marca.com they make it look like the choice is between Reyes and Villa. THAT MAKES NO SENSE AT ALL! Put both of them in, take out Torres!! I can't believe how retarded Luis/Marca is.

Thats just your opinion, im disagree.

Iniesta is not the best spanish midfielder, is just your opinion. Guti is much better imho, is just my opinion.

Maybe without De la Morena Iniesta could be out of this team.

Your problem is that you see mafia where there is football. Aragones wanna win the WorldCup, if he need to use Iniesta he will do it.

I call it Common Sense.

I prefer Reyes-Villa-Raul.

But honestly, Marca can say many things, are just opinions, it does not mean Aragones is agree with that. Until now we only see tests, no more than that.

BTW Raul MUST Play ;)

?¿?¿? What did Raul do in the match against Egypt that was so impressive? He made a few quick short passes and scored a garbage goal. It's like if Raul doesn't have an incompetent display, he is MoM. I'm not saying he shouldn't play but I don't see the big deal.

Those "short passes" you mention are that job nobody do when he's out of the team; Raul is the main link between strikers and midfield. Just check the difference in the number of ocassions between the first (no Raul) and 2nd half in the match vs Russia.

He also stole the ball that led to the counterattack of Reyes' free kick. And about the crappy goal... If Villa had scored that it would have been because of his letal instinct or so. But it's just the geriatric Raul.
