Baraja + Albelda = We only received 1 goal in 180 minutes.

Xavi + Xabi + Iniesta = in the second half spain - egypt we defended very very bad, against a top team that could be to receive 2 goals in 40 minutes

I know we need ball possesion, i think Luis know that and need to find the best way to have a good defense having the ball.

Seriously? I thought we dominated the midfield.

I think Spain played better in the second half against Egypt. I would like to see that midfield with Villa up front.

The DM behind two creative midfielders is what we want, but if you want it, you either have to play without one winger(Joaquín) or without Raul. I think if they're trying that tactic is because they're trying to find a tactic where Raul can play.

I would like to think the 2nd half was better, but im agree with Aragones:

1st half : we got the ball but without "magic", we got some chances, Egypt had 1-2 chances to score as much.
2nd half: Egypt got more ball, we had more "magic" and passes, Egypt got 4-5 big chances to score.

I think could be funnier to have no Senna and no Albelda playing, i think it was very defensive but after watching the matches i think we will defend much better using Albelda+Senna or at least one of them. We are not Brazil, and we cannot win 3-2 easily. If we didnt receive a single goal probably we will win the match. Kill me if you want but i liked a lot the Spain of Camacho and Clemente using 1-2 DMs and 1 winger as much.

DreamTeam, there is a world conspirancy so Raul can be the top scorer of the World Cup :P

If you want a DM and wingers, it's easy, BENCH RAUL. Apparently Aragones wants wingers so he has to play with 2 DM's, that way Raul can play.

IMO it should be a 4-3-3 with 1 DM ( Senna ). The formation that DT posted was fine with the exception of Pablo ( I dont like Marchena that much either though ).

Xabi and X.Alonso is not enough, Spain need another player in midfield.

There's a player who is playing as a AM because the midfield need help, but he's a forward. I would replace that player.

I'm trying not to hurt Crusad3r feelings.

Same with Villa, I think it's because we're playing far from their area + they're playing with 3 CB, so the forwards are not receiving the balls in very good conditions (they rapidly get surrounded by 2-3 players).

Let's see if Luis keeps the 4-4-2 or comes back to 4-3-3 in the 2nd half. We need to move the ball faster and make more "cambios de banda".

When Torres scored that goal I just swore. Now that piece of crap is going to play in every match. Before his goal:
-intercepted passes
-open shot to the clouds
-missed penalty kick
-completely whiffed a free kick right to him

I was starting to hope he might've done enough to lose his spot. Lets see if Pernia has won his. I doubt it, but it should be his. Luis Garcia sucks. Pablo sucks. Villa was bad tonight (aside from that shot to the post), but his 23 goals this season don't lie. Reyes and Xavi need to be in the starting 11.

one thing i told in other forum this evening:

"Otra cosa, me sorprenderia que hoy jugara bien Raul, teniendo al lado dos extremos, que por lo general no se lleva bien con ellos.

Raul and Reyes were alone, dissapear, Joaquin received like 500 balls and he didnt did nothing apart failing 2 "easy" goals.

We need to use least 3 DMs.

Imho Villa and Raul must be the attack, dont care to add Reyes/Luis Garcia/Torres. Torres is awful he scored 1 goal in a brilliant action and failed 5 goals.

The secong half was better again.

Iniesta is in great form. He plays easy and fast. Big potential.

Xavi was good, the boss in some parts of the game, but his passes were too horizontal.

X.Alonso played deeper and I think he did a jood job.

Villa was unlucky when he hit the post.

Great free kick from Pernía. Not a great defender though. Terrible mistake from Pablo. Salgado was quite bad too.

Reyes.. missing. Joaquin played a good first half.

Raul was lost. The forwards didn't receive any ball so he had to come to the midfield.


If the commentators I heard are not wrong, Spain will play Ukrania with Senna and Albelda :funny:
