Yeah. We always did ESPN, but they discontinued fantasy this year, so we jumped into another league and they do head-to-head I guess.

Ah I don't really like that. I also don't like the new ones (like Toga which there always plug on men in blazers) which try to incorporate all kinds of other stats.

To be honest I don't even like substitutes and captains, I don't see why we dont have to pick just eleven.

Actually, I don't even like doing it online, I want to go back to the one where you had to fill in a form which came with the newspaper and mail it back

I usually lose interest in October/November anyway, so I'll be at the bottom of the table shortly.

The only thing that's keeping me interested so far is getting trash talked this summer by the token girl in the league because I set a lineup last year on matchday 1 and pretty much never changed it.

Yeah this is what I don't like about the modern incarnations of the game, they are designed to require more and more 'weekly input' (presumably to make you see more advertisements) which is great for your boring guy with an office job because he needs something to constantly check on the internet when his facebook feed runs out of cat pictures but not so good for people with lives.

My ideal version of the game would be pick just eleven players at the beginning of the season in a 4-4-2 and then you get like 5 transfers for the entire season which you only use for long term injuries and january sales. Then it's so much more about predicting who will have a good season rather than just reacting to players who are having a good season.

I think that is great, but I wouldn't want a salary cap. If you want to pick all Zlatans and Pogbas and Agueros, go ahead, but just know there are injuries and new signings often flop in their first season like Di Maria.

Another SPL/Rangers/Joey Barton update - Barton has been suspended by the club for 'unprofessional behaviour' and its rumours that rangers are going to try an (almost unheard of in football) misconduct dismissal against him.

Had Messi not decided to make NT comeback, Argentina would not make the WC. That's how bad they are. I still can't believe how little credit Leo gets for dragging that team to 3 finals.

If Argentina cannot qualify for the WC without Messi then they need a proper or decent manager. That team is full of quality.

I do not think Argentina wouldn't make it to the WC without Messi.

Yeah, too much quality in that team ... I think they used to rely on Messi to make things happen ... btw, didn't know Demichelis is still alive!!! ...
