"after a World Cup like that"

He played for like half an hour, and didn't really stand out. I honestly don't get all this hype around him.

Yedlin had two semi accurate crosses against Beligium, so now he's the next big thing. (H)

Fullback is 98% lungs and 2% skill. Yedlin will be just fine. His effort was tremendous and he can play for a good club.

Disagree, I think we've done extremely well with fullbacks, all things considered. Cherundolo was a model international, and our best player in 2002 (best finish ever) was unquestionably Tony Sanneh. In fact, Tony Sanneh was so incredible in 2002 for the US that an 18 year old Shifty*my's eyes were opened to the possibilities of the position.

They were good, especially Cherundolo, but since then we've been pretty weak there. We've been playing wingers and centerbacks in those positions for awhile now.

I actually like JP Dellacamera ... it's probably down to Champions League nostalgia from the mid-to-late 90s, but he's an American soccer commentator that doesn't sound horrendous to me ...

The Von Trapps
neither speaks with an agenda (unlike the f*cking "pundits" in the Fox Sports studio), so yeah, good commentary combo ...

the less said about Gus, the better ...

Arsenal's game is on ESPN2 next, this is the lineup they're putting out: Szczesny, Jenkinson, Hayden, Monreal, Gibbs, Arteta, Wilshere, Zelalem, Ramsey, Cazorla, Rosicky.

That's...weird. Three fullbacks and no strikers.

New York 1-0 Arsenal.

Goal was from a poorly defended corner. Really boring game. I'm probably going to skip the remaining friendlies, the ones I've caught have been pretty dull.
