That was beautiful! I feel a bit bad for Mexico though.

I don't know what happened to de Jong, but i hope he'll be back for the match against Costa Rica/Greece. The midfield is not the same without him, Blind took his spot and i believe it was him who failed to deal with Gio for his goal.

It was really surprising to see that risky move by an experienced player like Marquez ...

Meh. I'm numb to it. It was nice, and I thought the team could pull it off. But way to pull back like a bitch and let the Dutch gain all the momentum. Mexico stopped playing around the 60th minute and it cost dearly. Sixth time I watch Mexico knocked out after the fourth game. Ugh.



And Rafa is a fucking retard. Figures the softest penalty is the one ending up called.

I don't like their style either, but I'd rather see Greece advance than Costa Rica. Mainly because they'd be more comfortable opponent for Holland to play against, i think. :P

That's a good point actually. I want Holland to reach far because for the players they have, they have done extremely well. Their defense is bad and midfield very average other than Sneijder. Good work by van Gaal. Great, attractive attacking football.

Yeah absolutely true. I'm a lifelong Holland supporter though, so that's why I want them to do well. They have surpassed my expectations (and i believe everyone's) so far. I'm obviously glad for our manager as well, which is making me look forward for the next season.

Anyway looks like this game is going to penalties.
