TURK_1975 said:IMO he is not a great striker, he is too short for that. He is more like Arif Erdem on the wings where he can run really fast and assist.
serhat09 said:First of all, i wouldn't compare Serhat to Arif. They are completely different players. Serhat is much more techinical, and has better pace than Arif. Arif is like nobre, Arif was always a firsatci. Serhat is a very good striker, unfortunately Daum didnt even know he was a striker or something because he played him in the wrong position all year which was the dumbest thing i've ever seen. A player that scored 18 goals in a year when he was 19, should be played as a striker, not some orthodox winger. He's scored 41 goals in about 100 games, considering, that's almost a goal every two games, i'd say that's striker calibre.
This is seriously a great move for him, Daum was not going to give him enough playing time, let alone play him in the wrong position, he wouldn't develop in Fenerbahce anymore. Anderlecht is a team that is regularly in european competition, and have a little more success than Fenerbahce, if Serhat is going to play as one of the main strikers, (He replaced Aruna which was their main striker), means, that he will be shown to all the top clubs scouts, and now has another chance to prove himself a goal scorer. Hopefully he can do well like Nihat, mind you it would be difficult to pull a Nihat, since Nihat has become amazing in Spain, but something close would be beneficial for Turkiye as well to have more striker options.
But everyone is entitled to their opinion.

41 goals in 100 games sounds like a striker more than a winger.
TURK_1975 said:Yep as a forward player he should score goals if he loves to do so, Arif loved to assist so does Ribery. Even wingers are considered as forward players. But his height doesn't complete him being a striker IMO. The way he is built man, he looks like more like an attacking midfield or winger. Any who, thats just my openion. I would love to see a tall striker then a short one but you have a point, he also scored alot of goals.
serhat09 said:ALthough height is an advantage, it's not needed in being a great forward. Remember, Owen is not tall, ROnaldo isn't really that tall, neuville isn't tall, Diouf isn't tall, Martins isn't tall, Recoba isn't tall, Raul isn' tall, i'msure there are others i'm forgetting. So it isn't fair to say someone can't be a complete striker just because of his height.
Ny8La8 said:I have a question: I've been reading these Turkish newspapers and they're all saying things like "Liverpool has to play an on eleme mac" and so Fener can qualify directly to CL. But Fener won their league so Fener was gonna qualify ANYWAY.
SO what the hell does Liverpool's situation have to do with Fenerbahce's CL journey?
Ny8La8 said:^^^^ OoHhHH OK thanx a lot.
Why are Turkish team's coefficients so low?
So that means that whatever team finishes first in the Turkish League has to always play a qualification match to enter the CL? That's ghey.
OMG WOW!!! Can someone make that an avatar for me? WHOA!serhat09 said:http://www.antu.com/naklenx/stuttgart_fener/stuttgart1fb2serhat.mpg Super Move by Serhat!!!
