In school, if we were ever tackled (legally or illegally) we were taught to just rub our sore area and get on with the game. Most players take it to high dramatics and it's that that I particularly do not like in our game. I know many men who are gay but can kick anyone's arses, they embrace their masculinity because it's who they are, not what they're supposed to be, stereotypically.

I think this is a very spurious argument. It is now more than ten years since the money came to the bridge (when we were already playing champions league and a frequent FA cup winning club, by the way) and who knows how things would have evolved if Roman had not invested or put his money elsewhere. Ken Bates would not still own the club, I can tell you that for sure. Tottenham improved leaps and bounds in the same period with no sugar daddy. Were it not for Abramovich, maybe we would now be run by a John Henry style sports conglomerate, maybe we would have evolved more academy products to sell at the new huge price tags and made money that way, but we would not be the same club we were in 2003, I promise you that. Also, in the last 10 years, far more money has come into the league from the huge increases in TV revenues than from the pockets of sugar daddys.Pannu;3808570 said:Wasn't BBVA La Liga and the Bundesliga proven superior to the Premier League at some point in the last 5 to 8 years?
Now we'll have Chelsea or City winning every time, that too is boring.
Yes, I'm biased because United used to win everything but United never played boring football like City and Chelsea do now, we were always being challenged by other teams like Arsenal, I actually enjoyed the Keane and Vieira rivalry, you do not see that in football nowadays.
Half of them are rolling on the floor in agony or diving to win penalties.
Spurs made a lot of money with the Bale transfer though, and then they pissed all that money down the drain with some really silly signings. At least they've got a decent manager right now.Sir Didier Drogba;3809947 said:Tottenham improved leaps and bounds in the same period with no sugar daddy.
Arsenal will be always hanging around there somewhere. I predict that in the next 10 years we will see the league won by at least four different clubs.
They did all their improving prior to the receiving of their 'Bale-out money' (hey, I just made that pun up and it's really good).chygry;3809988 said:Spurs made a lot of money with the Bale transfer though, and then they pissed all that money down the drain with some really silly signings.
