Ferguson rested every single player last season appart Rooney, despite saying plenty of times he will give him a rest. Then Rooney actually breakes his bone being more or less the only one to care, despite being 3-0 down in that game and Fergie didn't sub him because in his eyyes he was the only chance to do a "miracle" which didn't happen as we know.
Fact is: Rooney carried the team big time and without him they would have been much much worse. Fergie knows that.
He probably would like to put him in cotton wool and lock him up in a cage and only take him out for every game. But it's aswell the whole G14 "greedy b@stards" vs Countrys Row aswell. If Rooney breaks a finger (what the G14 is only waiting about to have a "high profile case") the'll come out and whine and demand damage-paying etc...
Barwick is a c*nt aswell, but at least they backed their unloved Sven probably only because of commercial interests tough.

i guess you mean walcott? well i don't know why not pu him in but the problem with sven was that he took a "secret weapon" with him and just refrained from using him...but you're right i think it's good that beckhams been dropped, he's had his chance and he blew it.... bring on lennon!

You can't just leave Beckham out. Even if he isn't going to start, he'd be a fantastic squad player. Though this is only a friendly, I'm sure McClaren will re-call him.
Oh and El Tel
Can't wait to see the effect of him on the team. One of the main problems under Sven's management was the fact that he and McClaren were not motivators - hence the shocking second half displays.
If things aren't going right, I'm sure Terry will certainly let them know.
I for one am looking forward to this new era under Steve and Terry.

YES Terry the new Captain and not Gerrard - IMO excellent choice.
I'm tough totally gutted Becks didn't get included at all.
I didn't expect him to play every game, be an automatic choice or always play 90 mins, but a bit like Figo and Del Piero with sub appearenaces at least)
His Skills and Expirience surely could be handy to the Team.
SWP only has speed, but neither ballcontrol or passing skills.
Ah well life goes on - hopefully Lennon will get Becks place and not SWP - he deserves his chances and to him belongs the future.

what you mean? figo started every game, and maybe im bias but i would still take a 34? year old figo over beckham on my squad. beckham is done, no affence to all the english supporters here, he cant produce anymore which he showed at the world cup
