Xifio;2683736 said:how is it disrespect though? i mean, why can't you and other fans with a similar disposition accept that it was just a job for him? he gave you big time success in return for his chance to play on the big stage ... but his idea of the "best" for himself is not the same as yours ... and he is doing what he desires for his life and career ...
what do you want from him? did you want him to unconditionally declare his love for Man Yoo, or unconditionally say that he wants to leave at a precise date while still playing for your club? he could not make unconditional statements, because there were too many grey areas ...
like I've said before, he clearly had a tough time making a decision because he felt genuine love from you supporters, but he still had other dreams to play elsewhere ... he didn't know what to do because it was a difficult decision ... and if his uncertainty came through to the public, then it was because the press kept hounding him about his future, and he was forced to give answers ...
but now, when he is finally faced with a tangible choice to be made, he can think about everything on the table with clarity ... seeing that he's won everything there is to be won in England and with Man Yoo, he's decided the time is right for him to move on, and he will leave your transfer kitty with the biggest chunk of transfer fees ever paid ...
he's shown his gratitude to the fans and the club on the pitch, and he's left your bank account with enough to rebuild from ... so ingratitude from the fans towards him now just seems adolescent and immature -- regardless of what age those fans may be ...
I'd be happier if he just completely flops and gets benched. Don't let him have any excuses.snoppf1;2683952 said:What united fans wanted was straight awnsers an the truth.
You haven't heard of Cesc Fabregas's attitude and commitment to arsenal? We all know he wants to go back to play for Barca one back but he has been 100% straight and honest about weather he will leave or stay. He clearly says he will not leave Arsenal every time speculation arouses and trust me when i say Real Madrid and Barca have hounded us for his services.
This guy says he loves united his Real dream is dead then turns his back on his word and then just a month later changes his mind completely? Where is the honor and respect to United there? Where are the morals in this guy? Why couldn’t be honest and said he wanted to go for a new challenge or if he was having trouble deciding? He made up a pathetic interview in which he interviews himself saying he would not leave United this summer?
Anyway what would be huge act of karma is if he injured his knee ligaments and was injured for the entire season.
What a waste of money

He said that he's definitely staying a thousand times to the media and that his Real dream was 'dead' then he asks to leave in the summer. He could at least say that he's undecided over that or something. Not declaring your loyalty to a club and then leave.Xifio;2683736 said:how is it disrespect though?

I don't think he cares much about the amount United got from the deal. The only thing he's thinking right now is that 'I'm the most expensive player in the world' judging on his character. Btw I don't think that there's ingratutude from the fans towards him for what he's done. Its just that many are pissed by the way he left and many didn't like his character. We are all grateful for what he did in the past 5 years. Most United fans are taking this in a positive way.Xifio;2683736 said:he's shown his gratitude to the fans and the club on the pitch, and he's left your bank account with enough to rebuild from ... so ingratitude from the fans towards him now just seems adolescent and immature -- regardless of what age those fans may be ...

Xifio;2683986 said:Cesc Fàbregas is younger than Cristiano Ronaldo, less of a matchwinner, and has more to learn ... at international level, Cristiano Ronaldo is the star of his national side, and is also their captain; Fàbregas can't even make the Spanish starting XI ...
Cesc knew in previous years that a move to Barcelona would have meant that he'd likely be stuck on the bench ... and at Real Madrid, he knew he would have had to settle instantly and perform right off the bat, or he'd be dumped off the ship before he knew what hit him ... he's only 22 now, and these rumours have been around for a couple of years ... why would he want to take such a risk at such a young age?
Cesc has time on his side ... and he has a lot more to learn about the game and about responsibility ... he has and will have a lot more opportunity with a lot less pressure at Arsenal than in Spain ... plus, he hasn't won it all and done it all in England, so why move back home right now and risk not having the chance to win a league title in England?
it is a lot easier of a decision for Cesc Fàbregas than for Cristiano Ronaldo, which is why he doesn't have too much of a hard time making it ...
