The "Cristiano Ronaldo's future" saga thread.

an imbecil whiner such as C. Ronaldo won't fit into Pellegrini's way of treating players.

I mean, look what he did to Riquelme... (in such a case he'll end up being sacked cause the board ain't gonna take having a 90 million euro player sitting on the ******* bench)

btw, i think Kaka is one hell of an amazing player. Hes a great person too (i would know that since he is a great friend of mine... ;)).

this saga sucks. and what makes it worst how is C.Ronaldo worth more then Kaka??? such bullsh!t.

My thoughts exactly. He is probably walking around Hollywood feeling like he's the greatest thing since sliced brown bread.
@ Frostwolf, Platini has just complained about the Ronaldo transfer, he never complained about City in paticular.

One more thing, Real Madrid could and probably should have bought Newcastle United for another £20m. (H)

If Ferguson had caved in a year ago we probably would've only got half what Real Madrid are willing to pay now.

I think he pulled off a masterstroke waiting till after the elections ^^.

I agree.

I also think the only player who's worth that much money right now is Lionel Messi. Somehow I don't think he'll be tempted to go to Real though. :)

It's an absurd amount of money, and at the end of it all, he's only one player.

ManU fans might be a little disappointed to see him leave but there's plenty of signs that it's probably for best (the money, CR seems to really want to leave etc etc). Plus Ferguson might be the all time best when it comes to quickly turning one step back into 3 steps forward.

They're not so disappointed as I was expecting. I observed Ronaldo is not so loved as a superstar player between his team fans. As it was expecting there are so many fans which have him as idol, but most of united fans are not so sad as Barcelona fans would be if Xavi or Messi or Iniesta for example would leave. That says alot about Ronaldo's character...

Jesus what a start to this transfer market. Ronaldo and Kaka already. Usually we have to wait all summer for these sagas to unfold and they just get ******* annoying. But wow this is pretty surprising, and very exciting because once these big deals happen they usually open the floodgates for many other deals. Just where exactly are Madrid getting this money from and are they buried in debt now?

Haha, nice try! That's ONLY true if Fergus KNEW that Perez was going to:
- run for election in 2009
- successfully win in 2009...this would be heavily dependent on how Real fared during the 2008-2009 campaign, and judging by the previous 2 seasons this outcome(Perez wining and replacing the guy in the hot seat for back-to-back championship wining seasons, COMBINED with Ronaldinho's departure from arguably the main title challenger-Barca) did NOT look very likely.

The Galacticos policy was finished with Perez' departure. Go back and read the 2006 details of the Mijatovic Real Madrid project. Free spending of THIS magnitude was tucked into Perez' back pocket and kicked out the door with him when he left - I wouldn't consider Arjen Robben, Lass Diarra, Wesley Sneijder or Rafael Van Der Vaart to be Galacticos quality signings comparable to Ronaldo(Bra), Beckham, Figo, Zidane, Kaka, Ronaldo(Por)!

SAF said that he wanted another CL title...maybe 2 and felt that the best way to do that was by keeping CR7, who was getting better...it was plainly obvious that he was improving. THAT's the reason why he kept him......there was NO guarantee that ManU would win the EPL or CL again AND, of more relevance, that CR7 would replicate his 42 goal campaign. Infact, if his goal count was going to change, it could only have gotten worse thereby reducing his transfer value! Contrary to popular belief, Ferguson is NOT a mind reader and a master stroke it was NOT.

it ain't about his caracter

it's just that for Man U fans, no player is bigger than the Club. Take Beckham or Nistelrooy for example. Both legends when around, and after they left, they weren't missed. Hell, even Roy Keane fits that. I guess the same would apply to Ronaldo.

It disgusts me to even think about the fact that this dickhead will be playing on the same field as Kaka.

"Mark Hughes says Cristiano Ronaldo's proposed move to Real Madrid could stimulate the transfer market."

In other words, Real have opened the floodgates for City. Time to splurge? (H)

Don't like Ronaldo or Real but like the move. Not because it will benefit Real (it probably will, he's obviously one of the best). I like the big aggressive spending. This means more teams will open the chequebooks to compete. I'd love to see Abrahimovich spend big again and I'm not a City fan but it's exciting to see what they do.

And Man Utd can buy Newcastle with the money from the Ronaldo and possibly Tevez sale lol.

Heard he was doing Paris Hilton right now so that three signings for Madrid in the last three days : Kaká,Ronaldo and Paris (she has enough superstar quality to be a Galáctico), not to mention the amount of Stds those two have already.

They don't own Tevez, he's on loan from...somewhere.

Edit: West Ham in some ass-****ed way.
