That's a cool team, I like it. Especially good with Xavi. And if that's the actual pattern they play it's good because you have Gaucho and Giuly there supporting Larsson. They can both beat players, while Larsson will concentrate more on the goals.

Is Oleguer Ronnie's best bud there?

Barça will start with one striker then will realize that they need two strikers and will start Saviola with Larsson.

I love Oleguer. He's already a great player.

Actually my line-up is too ofensive with Xavi and Deco. That's what I would like but I think Xavi will start the season on the bench, unfortunately. He was one of the most important players the last season.

I can image Rijkaard playing with Xavi and Deco but no way with 2 strikers.

Yeah you're right, Xavi was a big player last season, I think he deserves a place, regardless to who's signed. But unfortunately it doesn't go like that eh.

Whatever team you put out, you do have good options and resources.

i'd love for Xavi to start but from what i've seen in the matches so far with Rijkaard playing the 4-3-3 and playing 5,6,7 defenders ,he's ok with the offensive players but is looking for a way to balance on defense. another option is starting Sylvinho and moving Gio to the Motta/Marquez position like he did in the last friendly.

Yeah i guess it'll depend on the formation and the team we're playing, but if Marquez plays it'd had to be in a double pivot with Edmilson and deco in the center line with giuly and ronaldinho

It would be a big shame if Xavi has to start the season on the bench.

Oh and ,Rijkaard won't realize that we need two strikers :crazyboy: because we don't.We have all the creativity in the world with Ronaldinho and Deco and we have Giuly who scored loads in Monaco so he can sometimes help the striker while Dinho can do anything.
I agree Marquez should be in the first eleven ,and our team can't ,just can't play three competitions with 2 attackers.Saviola and Larsson aren't enough.And now we are aiming at Eto'o and maybe loan out Javier.Then I ask what's the point of the purchase.We are looking to add depth to out attack...

Oleguer is good ,but I'd put Marquez.Oleguer has the future ahead of him and will certainly have his time in the first team.We should play Marquez while we have him.

Absolutely correct!

Ronaldinho, Giuly and Deco are all natural goalscorers, they score 8/9/10 goals per season... And Larrson is a striker that plays quite well on his own, and scores goals of anykind... If you have Larrson it's only worth having another striker if he's a big guy, like Sutton, Ibrahimovic or... Hartson....

Barcelona won't have a single problem with scoring goals, it will be quite the opposite...

Any defensive mistakes will be easily made up for in goals, and this will make us the most dangerous team in La Liga...:D

Hopefully we will have little trouble scoring.Last season it was a major problem.But now with the acquisition of Larsson ,Deco and Giuly ,could we go wrong?
And I think that our defense is quality so they won't let in unneccessary goals.Puyol ,Edmilson ,Gio ,Belletti ,Oleguer ,Marquez + Valdes in the goal.
We should be ok.

Wow Luis Garcia has scored twice again. Rijkaard won't have it easy between Giuly and Luis Garcia, they're both doing a great pre-season.

Valdes vs Rustu the last season=Oleguer vs Marquez this season

Valdes played a great end of season 2002/2003 and he deserved to play and at the end he convinced to everybody. Now I hope Oleguer does the same, I think he can because he already has played better than Marquez the last season.

This time it will be easier because Rijkaard doesn't like Marquez as CB..
