In quality Eto'o is better than Baros but the fact is ,Baros would accept to fight for a place ,while Eto'o would feel he has a place guaranteed.
Also ,Baros would be simpler and easier to get not to mention we'd spend less. ;)

I prefer Eto'o but whoever comes ,:rockman:

I think Eto'o is a better player :p

He's class and as we saw in La Liga, he can prove he can score in an average team, against the best teams. Baros had a good tournament, no doubt, full credit. BUT he was on the verge of joining us (pompey) on loan last year, so as you can tell he didnt really have a good season. In fact, I remember when he first joined, I thought he wasnt any good at all. But he scored some crackers in euro.

Milan hasnt always been special at Liverpool. Maybe it was the management? I don't know. But if I were Barca, I wouldnt sign him purely because Euro could of been an individual time, a time where he's in a good, confident team with top players.

We'll see how good he is next season :D

One of the reasons I prefer Eto'o is that EURO in fact might have been just a good tournament for Baros.
It's better to sign someone who is already proven. ;)

I've read on Skysports some days ago that Monaco are certain they'd be able to capture Saviola on loan ,but then Laporta comes out and says that Saviola will stay.
I don't know what will happen but I trust Laporta.
Monaco wanna fill in the vacancies of Giuly ,Prso and Morientes so they want anyone to come but since Saviola is in Olympics ,I don't think they'll be in touch with him a lot. ;)
I hope he stays.After the sale of Quaresma ,we don't need to sell another prospect.

Laporta have to say Saviola is staying 'cause you never know is no other striker will come to Barca, plus if Monaco really wants him and Laporta saying that he will stay, Monaco may be willing to pay more of his salary. ;)

I don't think anyone will be able to negotiate a part salary payment with Barca.We did that with Newcastle because we were desperate to get rid of Kluivert.We are not obsessed with selling nor loaning Saviola.

I like Saviola but it's gonna be hard for him to get in eh?

Why Monaco though? Why not a premiership or another spanish or an italian team?

Monaco need a striker but can't buy so loan is the only option while I doubt we'd agree to sell Saviola.I think he'll stay.

BTW Deco trained yesterday with the rest of the team after he had a fever and Ronaldinho missed training due to pain in his ankle.He will play on Sunday but Deco won't be risked.

It was probably just CM.Every time I play that,Utd buy him from me for a ridiculous amount (like 30 m).
I'm sure you got it there.

However ,we should issue hands off LOL.

Monaco dont need a forward, they have Chevanton and Kallon, two great players, and in reserves Nonda and Adebayor, two more good players. Theyre just getting greedy. And ya, why not another team in Spain, or Serie A, why go down in quality?

If we ship him out ,then ship him out of the league.We don't need him beating our ass next week wearing a Villarreal shirt ,like Roman Riquelme.

Laporta and Rijkaard have said always that Barça count with Saviola for the next season, but if Eto'o comes then they would talk with him and maybe he would leave on loan or maybe he would stay anyway. If Eto'o doesn't come then he's staying for sure.


Those words of baros are good to increase our ego but Laporta discarded him already after the Euro when his agent came to Barcelona, Liverpool requested too much money.

I totally agree.

I'll add that he was injured a big part of the season at Liverpool so he had a little bit advantage over the players who have played 40-50 matches during the season.

He's a great player, no doubt, but I prefer Etoo.

Yeah he was injured for a bit, but Eto'o is just a class player. Even in that team you can just tell. He'd be a good addition to Barca but where would he fit in?

thats a decent team, but not sure if they can win CL or spanish league with it. Great attack though(Y).
