Chiellini thinks the same way as I do. Maybe they should've banned him for one game, but let him play after.
When I first saw on tv that it was a 9 game ban, I was like "what!!!!!!!!!!". I felt it was too much.
He made a mistake, but we must have a heart and think that we all make mistakes. It was an involuntary mistake, it was not something he planned.

"Involuntary mistake"?!?

If people are thinking that missing the entire tournament is too harsh, the referee could have given Suarez a straight red which is a ban of 1~3 matches.

I was thinking the same thing. A ban equal as if the referee had seen Suarez biting Chiellini. In that case it would have been a red card and he would have missed one game only.
The important thing to analyze here is that it's a world cup which lasts one month and is celebrated every four years. It's not like local league in which they ban you and after 3 months you start playing again.
They should have considered the importance of this tournament and all the work a player does to reach this stage, and all the work a country does to reach to this stage, and the fact that once a player reaches this tournament it could be the only time he has a chance to play a world cup. Because even if he would be age 20 today, we don't know if the next manager would call him for the next world cup or if he will be injured, etc.

Fernandinho on for Paulinho for the game against Chile. I had been calling for this before the World Cup, and it should see Brazil through to the next round at least. Fernandinho is a great partner for Luiz Gustavo.

Yeah, Paulinho seems too careless getting forward and leaves Luiz Gustavo on an island. It happened several times against Mexico. If Mexico was a good counterattacking team they would have paid for it.

The Von Trapps
well, if you believe the tabloids, Real Madrid are already going to meet Monaco for Falcao ... adding James to the mix would take that to a €100+ mil transfer negotiation ...
