What I'm saying is maybe he should be banned for 1 game in the world cup, and if Uruguay goes to quarter finals he could play then, and then after the world cup he can be banned for the remaining 8 games. Something like that.
Like, if they want to be severe, ok, but at least they can also be a little tolerant, given that this is such an important tournament and that is played every four years.

What? HE BIT SOMEONE! There should be no need to say anything else for you to understand why you're 100% wrong.

Simunic missed the entire tournament for saying "for the home".

his punishment should have been worse. what kind of person/adult goes around biting people, only kids react like that.

Zidane was not a repeat offender of that crime. He was retiring. He was baited and insulted, which doesn't make it right, but lashing out with a headbutt is not the same as BITING SOMEONE for the 3rd time!

It's not like he bit Chiellini 3 times in the same game, which is what you're making it seem like. You're just afraid of him in the Liverpool lineup.

Yeah, I'm puzzled by the Az outrage. I think I was more outraged four years ago by his handball, but meh. Can't be bothered anymore. Plus Barca might sign him... (H)

Seriously? Dude bit a guy. Then he bit another guy. Then he bit a third yet I'm overreacting for wanting him to get a long-term ban? Besides, with Suarez it's a cumulation of things: the racism, the handball, the fucking biting, etc. That said, if this is the ban he's getting I wouldn't object to Chelsea trying to sign him for a cut-down price. Don't like him as a person but he's a great player.

Note that I'm not outraged at him biting, that's funny. I'm outraged at people like derok saying he should get a one game ban.

Most late challenges are more dangerous, in fact I would venture to say that biting a guy is one of the least dangerous things you can do on a football pitch. So yeah it's not cool to go around biting people, but at least he wasn't out there attempting a tackle to end someone's career which so many great legends of the past have done repeatedly (Zidane, Keane, Cantona). Chiellini will carry some superficial bite marks for 3 days and he'll be fine.

Obviously it's a red card, but everyone is climbing up on Mount Pious on this trying to overreact the most; I'm surprised to see it from Az.

USA can beat Belgium and Mexico can beat anyone when they're on song. Will they all survive the round? Probably not, but it's far from impossible for them.

Mexico have only ever made the QFs (their best finish!) at home. I'd still say that CRC has the best chance to get through. Belgium haven't thrashed anyone, but they haven't been troubled by anyone either. Although that's a big Yet.

They matched up pretty well with Argentina in the 2006 World Cup, Tevez goal changed everything in South Africa. Mexico actually turns their level up for Intl competition.

I think that considering how well they went in their most recent qualification; they've already commended themselves by getting out of the group with strong performances. I don't see Mexico getting past Holland; they managed to shut out Brazil, but Robben, RVP and co. is an entirely different prospect.
