Summer, The End, and Back To School...thread

18 days 8 hours 34 minutes until I start my senior year in highschool, I put a countdown on my phone and looked at it everyday hoping that it would make the time go by slower, didn't really seem like it. But holy hell senior year , I'm gonna love it you get so many privilages at our school for being a senior like random picnics or get out of class time and leaving school without a parents permission (ahhhhh I can't wait for that one). One more year than UNI!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait.

Sh*t... schools in the rest of the country are a lot more liberal than they are here. In Minnesota you have to lose a couple pints of blood before they'd let you skip a day.

I guess that's part of why Minnesota's education system is one of the best in the country. That and the fact that we don't have as many stupid people as they have in the south and the west.

School doesnt start for me untill like another month, but my summer vacation ends in a week, becuase I have double sessions for varsity soccer 6 days a week.It should be hard since we have so many expectations for this year. All the coaches in our divsion predict us to win sectionals, which means we are probably favored to win states since our section has one states the past 5 years. It was a fun summer, atarted my first real realatinship with a girl, got a job, so I enjoyed the patcheck.

Same ****, but i had no vacation because i took this summer class which started on 5th July and its ending on 9th Aug, so my vacation was is going to be from 10th Aug to 28th Aug, just 20 days mother****in.
Its like i am living worst than the life of this poo.

I spent most of my summer in Mexico City and I start my senior year at Arizona State Aug 22nd... I'll be getting my degree in Political Science and a minor in Spanish. After that its off to law school.

I'm taking a summer course at college right now (Anthropology), which started last week; I had about a month and a half off from school before starting again but I kept working that time. Summer course ends at the end of the month and I have 3 weeks off from college before I start my sophomore year in late September. College and work take up most of my time now and it'll probably stay like that from now on until I graduate when I have to get a full-time job, fucking awesome.

Yep, Wisconsin is the same way. It's so funny to hear people talk about education in other parts of the country, because our public schools are better than most private schools in other areas.

But if you don't plan on staying in the state, I guess there's no point. Of course, if you don't mind Wisconsin, a degree from UW counts as passing the bar exam.

It all depends on where you go to school and what you study while there, of course. For example, I was all wound up about how college would be, and because, unknowingly (sorta) I went to a party school, and studied softies like History and Polysci the last three years (and hopefully the next two years....i dont wanna hear it, I have a minor too) consist of mainly boring weeks, except for the few that are, start to finish, literally packed with work and study, and some wild weekends. In short, im gonna have a rude awakening when I do go to grad school, but hey, I did it to myself

With everyone getting ready to go off to college or HS no one seems to have time to do anything more than go to a movie and a dinner, which gets expensive and boring. It seems like such a waste of a month.

I guess I can understand going to college, but what the hell do you have to do to prepare for going back to HS? For a whole month?

Thats just ******* whack, I know I'm gonna be doing a **** load of chillin and partyin before I go back to school ... Despite all those AP summer assignments, but I'm gonna be stressing over those 2 days before school starts as usual

That's of course if I'm not sick for the next 2 weeks Since Thursday I've had a fever of 101 to 103.5 every day, I don't know what the **** is wrong with me, nothing else hurts except for the ******* fever. Today's the first day thats a little better, I just hope it's not mono, coz that **** would take me out for a while... Has anyone else had it?

I am just telling you the truth, I was thinking the same thing, but no one around town seems to want to get wasted anymore. Hey, welcome to ****tyTown, PA. Of course there is a lot to do, but there are only so many moves you can go to, before you really start to ******* get sick of it.

As for the last year of HS, meh, nothing amazing. A lot more parties, but as for school, I got the same raw deal I got the 3 years before, only I didn't care since nothing they could do to me could change the fact that I was leaving in a few months. That was the biggest change though, knowing that after summer, you would never see these people again, you become more wild, more open with girls,as if it were your last few months alive.



For the college kids, why does everyone always seem to be on cell phones, even Profs.? What could you talk about at 8 am? I noticed this when I tryed to hand in that form.
