David Wells, what a joke.
"I don't need to work out"...then the bastard throws his back out.
First up, that's what I meant. They are the pro's and that's the top level and the scores are phenomenal. I mean, I've played it, it's not as demanding as many other sports but it's difficult to shoot until you get used to it (which the pro's have), and you need to have some level of endurance but any game that players can sit out half of a match isn't really enduring or particularly physically demanding.Originally posted by ShiftyPowers
It is not easy to score in basketball, if you think it is you obviously either haven't played it, or haven't played against anyone that can defend worth ****. You know why the pros make it look easy to score? Because they're pros; they're the best out there. It is much harder to become an NBA Basketball Player than a Premiership Soccer Player.

2)Ice hockey...also demanding on the body....but...one problem................LINE CHANGES...every 3-5'.....that is the entire team is swapped out every so often to give people a rest!
3)American Football.....oh please I had the misfortune of playing this sport on a semi-pro level for four years and believe me this shouldn't be #3....I played "ironman" -offense,defense,special teams.- and believe me its not demanding .....the only thing this sport does is damage people's bodies......AND you take a break for rest and water : in between each play, time outs-possibly 8 per game (if there is overtime), Half-time 10mins, injuries.etc
4)Basketball..players can be taken out and put in as often as they want
7)Tennis........breaks for players between sets and time outs whenever someone feels like it

Look guys, honestly this is all you need for soccer....endurance, decision making. There really isn't a skill that you need to master in order to play high level soccer. There are plenty of soccer players that make a living by being no nonsense type guys who run the pitch, but don't make a hundred moves every game. When you get the ball, you can either dribble (NOT hard, I could do it well when I was 12) or pass (also not hard, I became DAMN good around 15). It really is all about decision making and endurance. If you make poor decisions (like most wannabes and bad players), you're going to suck, but making decisions isn't hard, it's just learning how to not be a selfish prick. There isn't a skill in soccer that you need to master at all, if you think it's hard to run for 90 minutes then clearly you don't see the countless 50 year old men out for their morning jogs every day who do it. Soccer is NOT THAT HARD. [/B]

LOL he said there isnt a skill in soccer you dont have to master um CONTROL. Your talknig about you mastered dribbling at 12 and all that crap then how comes you didnt make it pro? Im sure you think soccer is just a game of KICK BALL, and since your talking about skills need to master in soccer, what skills are needed in other sports that are considered hard other than this bull**** stories of hitting a baseball dont even mention that because its been said millions of times already, yea and im sure those 50 year old men can play pro soccer too, where the **** are they then???? Dont compare 50 yr old joggers to soccer players because they dont jog around the field the whole time. I watch NFL games and i see these guys get tired after like making a 50 yard run and avoiding tackles and they look like they cant even breathe when they finally get tackled thats sad when you compare it to rugby

Just because you haven't played football you can't say that it's easy.

I have no control with a ball, but when i play left or right back nobody scores on me...usually because i have the attitude of a girl with PMS and end up hacking them down.
I think that makes me ace.
