By the way Kulixs, that was totally uncalled for.

If Dennis is booked then Kulixs should be too.
How many things that you say are uncalled for? And Dennis got Red Carded for multiple offences, and he took it as a joke, so you should Shush.

I'm okay with people being gay. I don't care at all, if that's the way they feel then fine. But, I don't like it when they're showy about it. Like all these Gay Pride celebrations, like they're something special. Or for example, a couple at my school go around being loud and have Gay Pride on their backpacks and such. That get's on my nerves because it's not just about their sexuality but it's because they want attention. Almost like it's a fashion.

felipão went to his bedroom and he went crazy. i told him: "damn, felipão, if ronaldo's cut his hair that style and he's going to wear boots with that colour, it's because he's going to play and to play ******* well!"

since my translation is bad, i let the original last sentence here (where's hugo to translate it better? :(): "porra, felipão, se o ronaldo cortou o cabelo desse jeito e vai usar uma chuteira dessa cor é porque ele vai jogar e jogar pra caralho!"
Ok I'll have a go at translating it (I know emmer's English is better than mine but I just got a proficiency test result and I passed so I'm a bit excited)

"damn Felipao, If Ronaldo had his haircut like this and wants to wear those boots, he's going to play and play well"

though I guess you could use some explanation... it's not clear to me in the English translated version what you could understand in the brazilian quote, which is "if Ronaldo's willing to bend the behaviour rules Felipao wanted - wear black boots and have a decent haircut - then it's because Ronaldo thinks he doesn't have to lick Felipao's boots to play and therefore he'd have to play awesome footie"

that's what I think about it too... most people seem to want to be treated equally, like steven, and I'm all for it...
If I manage to get something like a Straight Pride parade, I'm labeled as homophobic...
I really dislike people who hide in their "minority" tag to give them freedom to do stuff... if I go around with a shirt that says "100% white" I'd probably be called racist but if a black guy wears "100% black", like they do a lot in Brazil it's just fine... Steven here didn't do it and I really respect him for that and other brave actions he took...

thnaks

but as i'm sure you know I am not looking for respect

throughout my time at SG I have earnt the respect which I ave here by respecting others, I am not going to change my ways just because it is not the way a non str8 guy is meant to act

i am the same person as i was before, so wy should my actions or interest change,

i see no valid reason why they should, so they will not be, I will still be the same moderator and person on soccergaming and other sites i am invo, ved with as i was before

i couodn;t care less whether people around here know that I am bi or what they think, over the years here i have been insulted countless times, so they simply do not effect me any more

just seemed like a great discussion point, which with over 200 replies, it has proven to be :)

overall I would like to say how pleased I am with most peoples contributuons to thios thread, i think it's safe to say that such a subject can stir a lot of emotions, but generally the maturity shown has been amazing,

thanks guys :)

Well, I am very, very liberal and I hate homophobia as much as I hate racism, sexism etc. I have many gay friends and I have spent alot of time with bi-sexuals/gays/lesbians thanks to living in squats and communes in Denmark and Germany and never felt uncomfortably. I don't admire gays blindly or anything, I mean if I don't like the persons personality, I don't like the person no matter if the person is straight or gay, but there are 2 things I really like about gays is that they are mostly anti-religious and open-minded. Homophobes are purely dumb in my eyes, I mean for ****s sake, people can love, **** and live with whoever they want.

From my experience there are 2 types of gays: 1) Real gays who are proud of their sexual orientation and are loyal to their beliefs. I have NO problems with them at all. Respect! 2) The "Look at me, I'm gay" type of idiots who are mostly trying to get attention and they are the ones who make me sick.

Anyways, Propaghandi's "Homophobes Are Just Mad Cuz They Can’t Get Laid", is a pretty nice song :p

I have absolutely no problems with gay people at all, unless they use the fact that they are gay to their advantage. Just like when you get women that use the fact that they are a woman to get better treatment etc. But I, personally, cannot really see why people decide to be gay, but i accept the fact that some people DO decide to be gay.

don't take that as a remark against gays or anything, but i just treat each individual case as it is, there are some gay people i wont like, just like there will be women i don't like.

partly agree and partly disagree with the comments

the 1st part is spot on, as was the post before it, I share those sentiments completly

howver i feel the need to underline the fcqt that people do not choose to be gay, I know that given the choice i would choose to be compltely straight, just to make my life a helll of a lot easier in every respect, but everyone has to deal with the life and person that they are, and i have finally admitted to being that person, and now feel noreason to be embarassed at who i am, and where my life is heading,

and that is to be together with the person I love for the rest of my life, now who in relaity can deny any person that happiness??

why do gay people always have high pitch voices and wear tight and very gay looking clothing.

And I enjoyed all of manutd4evas post, quality stuff, especially that quote. And I almost puked when you made some very gay comments, just the thought of it...ewww.

i don't have a high pitched voice, and my clthing is no different to any other person

currently wearing footbal shirt an jeans,

now what exactly is strange about that???

plus i assume that you mean i made "gay comments" as far as i am am aware everything i have said could be just as easily said by a straight guy

people who know me are shocked when they find out i am not straight, so therefore that tells me that I do not act at all as you would be expecting a non straight guy to act :|

i wondered when that was going to come up :p

i honestly have no preference either way, both have got their advantages and disadvantages

a straight guy would say that? What straight guys do you hang out with... :nape:

oh come on,

I was asked the question and gave an honest answer

when i have not been asked direct questions, then my comments could just as easily have been said by anyone

obviously someone who is straight is not going to say that they have no preference, or that does not make them straight.

In effect I have bared my soul on this thread, despite this not being the original idea for the thread, if people ask me questions i feel that I have to answer them (within reason). I still maintain the fact that I cannot be the only non straight person around SG, I know that in the past we did have an openly gay member (saved_by_jesus) and I have no doubt that there are other non straight members here, however i think that the treatment i have recived frm certain people in ths therad is the recise reason why people do not admit to being non straight

I am not encouraging people to come out on this thread, but please to proove me right, send me your response to the things said in this thread, and admit to anything you want via PM,

I will then add the comments here without revealing your ID, and you do have my word on that

i mean we do have almost 25,000 members,

statistically speaking that means there should be 2500 non straight members, so i think that ssuming that there is more than just me is not a huge asumption to make

man i have huge respect for you for everything you've said in this thread.

good on ya mate.

i had my gay moments when I was 14,15, 16. :lui: (and 17, shhh!)

I absolutely have no problems with gay ppl unless they like me and if they do, I just stay away from them (H). I've only met a gay once and he was pretty cool.

sorry sportsgaming, i dont wanna read the whole thread: are you or not gay? :p
