How much time should they give Schuster? And I'm not talking about the lack of wins, that's not the issue. Lack of ideas are more like it. Tactics seem very inferior at first glance. I for one would have him stay the whole season, minimum. We've been through the revolving coach door too often. Lets give in to 1 guy, good or bad, I don't care anymore.

Embarrasing game. Can't remember a game where we lost our cool so much. Ramos, if he could of, would of ripped everyones head off out there. Defense is awful vs. top notch opponents like Sevilla which at this point leaves little hope for CL this season. On the bright side, I thought Drenthe had a good game. On the down, Alves had total ownage on Robinho. I think he might be worth all that cash they are talking about. On another downside, see Schusters face throughout the game? It was a look of uncertainty and and no confidance. Just my honest opinions. Congrats Sevilla.

I kind of disagree, most of Sevilla attacks came down our wings ( our fullbacks were weak in this game ) and Sevilla did counter attack a lot. Like the second half we were playing much better but they scored off their first attack which was a counter-attack down the wings. The first half was a real mess with everyone playing wherever they wanted too, it seemed like everyone had too much freedom.

Yeah Its a pre-season game, and we get beat 5-3 (6-3) in the end. I wouldn't be worried about this score if it was close to the season opener, but thats just it. The season opener is next week and we are playing like SH**E

Why was schuster brought in for again?? Or better yet, what is our goal?? to play beautiful football and finish high?? or to win the league?? I guess we shall have our answer in the coming weeks. I for one feel that schuster will not last the season if Barca look like winning the league midway through the season. Am I being negative?? no I am being realistis, because you all know that it doesn't matter what our future goal is, if we play like crap and don't win. The fans in the bernabeu will boo the players, and we all know what will happen next.

""Marca: Who will be the next madrid coach??"

I will keep my head up high and hope for the best, and will cheer my team every second of every minute of every game. That is all I can do, to hope for the best. HALA MADRID!!

Well, now I understand why Capello used that 2 DM tactic. BECAUSE our team cant f*cking defend somehow. Pepe and Cannavaro imo werent horrible, but still we get 5 goals against us. Its because the fullbacks were totally owned like Socrates said. And Schuster is playing way too many attackers. Schuster really reminds me of one F*CKING Carlos Queiroz. Attack attack attack, but when we need to defend its just a goal. How many chances did Sevilla get?! Well, I think it was like 6 chances and they made 5 goals. Like I'v said before, Marcelo should play as a LB. Torres wasnt fully fit btw. That may explain his bad match. Saviola looked dangerous. He should start. Embarrasing! Here it is, this was the match that we prepared for. Well if thats true then we should make ourselves ready for Intertoto football.

OrgulloVikingo: 'On the down, Alves had total ownage on Robinho'.
Well, I guess you've watched another game then. In the first half Alves only saw Robinho's nr.10 shirt. I kinda agree that Robinho wasnt as good in the second though.

I will cheer on and not call for Schusters head. It wont help. We can always get Caps in January :clapwap: Nothing is working this preseason and with Sevilla, Barca, Atletico and Valencia having better sides?

the real problem is in our wings... when they fake torres... (almost everytime) there is a gap in defense.. therefore canna has to move out of position, and then Pepe has to move too...
------------casillas-----------
--ramos---pepe---canna--torres

we look like this:
thatz how PEPE and Cannavaro look like ****

------------casillas-----------
------ramos---pepe---canna--
-------------------------torres

didnt see any LM or RM in the second half...
guti in the middle.., robinho mid-upfront, snejider in the center
diarra in the center, ruud tryin to play upfront....
where were the wingers!!!

Agree, I know Schuster wants us to play nice attacking football but sometimes we need to be more direct and there's needs to be more tactical work. You can't have everyone doing their own thing for the hell of it.

Also it was a dive fest in the second half from Sevilla, I lost count of how many times Alves would hold his face in agony...not a suprise really though that's their tactic in about every game I have seen them play. Dive and fake injuries to waste time. They have a great team with great players but they ******* drive me crazy watching them do that ****.

Yea they dive and all but they totally owned us as well. We need something special if we want to competee for siverware this year.

The second half not really, like I said we did most of the owning but they scored on their first half of the second half from a counter-attack down the right wing. I know we played a bad game but I still stand by my comment on Sevilla and their playacting.

I just cant understand why everyone says that Sevilla totally owned us. They really scored every chance they had. We missed alot of chances and we missed some tactical decisions, but still we were defenitly the better side. I'm worried for the Madrid derby though. Schuster at least has to consider playing Fernandito with Diarra.

5 goals out of 6 tries? Good thing they didn't have 12 tries!! 5 goals allowed, playing at home? Sorry but I consider that getting owned! That's exactly it, we missed chances, lacked a good coaching strategy in my opinion. And perhaps lacking the right players overall. and Raul starting only hurts too. Now on to Atletico....(:/)

they didnt owned us but we looked **** awful whenever they attacked
madrid had the ball for most of the game ... but didnt noe wat to do with it
seriously,
2 of our goals came from FreeKicks...
the first one waz a great shot from Drenthe... so that means..that our team
doesnt noe how to score goals...

u can see the same mistakes since the first preseason game... :)

Maybe because we scored five goals in your stadium? Because we're parading the Supercopa on your grass?

Congrats on the win! Good thing I have asense of humor. That Pepe gif is kinda funny only that I think he's playing well and the paquete is the team as a whole.

Because they did....check this....

We all know football is not necesarily about who attacks the most but about who display the better tactics, at the very least you must admit that Sevilla played with the poise of a team that has played 5 finals in 15 months, that they out-coached us and that they were tactically more sound than us....that third goal we had was more the result of us lobbying high balls over the area than the result of any concerted efforts....Sevilla went out there and did their thing against a team lost for ideas and tactical organization....

You know what teams play like we did today?....freaking segunda b teams and stuff man, we might have all the talent in the world but we were completely lacking in tactics and technique...I dont know if what Schuster is teaching these guys is too hard or his tactics really suck but it was embarrasing for me as a Madrid fan. Will I start calling for his head??? no, but will I start being a little more critical sure thing....

Here is my pro/cons

Pro:

Drenthe!!! The kid has got a thrid and fourth lung, at times he took over the game with sheer power, yes, he messed up a lot but the guy has a desire to be a protagonist a leader and a go to man, I think he liked the big team, big game big responsability atmosphere of Madrid...he showed it....

Pepe/Canna:Somebody explained it best, the fact that our flanks where suffering showed in the middle and Sevilla exploited it...but the two CB's did not have horrible individual games, I say in more games and time they will be fine; I did see Canna a little on the slow side at times, Metzelder could help that.

Saviola: The dude wants to be a starter and he should be a starter....He plays with passion and courage and he's got goal in him; we need his contribution while Rudd recovers, cause Rudd was not even at 70%

Cons
Raul; ok, I'm thru with this, you guys know how I feel, Raul MUST sit. He knows it, Schuster knows it, Madrid knows it....look the guy is one of the great legends of Madrid and Spanish football, but he is two steps behind the faster players of this generation....nuff said

Defensive Scheme: WTF!! that is all I have to say on that, we had none, our CB's kept getting beat to the spot time and time again, because of poor coverage in other areas....If we play the likes of Leo Messi, Or even Sevilla again (Duda hurt us two games in a row) or Valencia, who have fast wingers we are toast..

Tactics: Schuster you need to get this right, it is his reponsability to make a group of great players a team...Sneijder for example looked like he needed instructions the whole game, Drenthe was playing his own game....Robihno was trying to be everything; Ramos barely played his Position cause Robbihno was missing half the time....I could go on and on, it was not good...

We have the players, we got the right attitude....we need it all to come together!!...

HALA MADRID!

Youth Team
Conceding 5 goals at home is worrying, but I think it will take a few matches for the new signings to gel. The Robben saga needs to end asap so then Schuster can concentrate on his best team.
