Ah, well some of the big stars make some money, but the majority wouldn't earn less if they would get a normal work. The most money comes from their tours.

I guess you already know the "savas-lexus" story? even the big stars don't really make much more money than average people...

Out of all of those artists you listed, I can pretty much only handle Busta in small doses and Eminem from The Eminem Show on back. I guess Missy's okay, but I don't really like that whole Jazzy Phae thing they got going on.

Has Doctor's Advocate officially released yet?

I'm very excited for "Hip Hop is Dead" comming out sometime next year. And to a lesser extent "Kingdom Come"

Yeah doctors advocate is ass in audio format. I don't give care how many times wayne kisses baby, the game and dre relationship is way gayer it's like that eminem song stan, but dre as eminem and game as the weird obsessed fan.

A review I read on another board.

How is it titled Doctor's Advocate when Dr. Dre has neither produced or supported this album what so ever? Lyrically, he sucks and the only good thing about The Documentary was THE PRODUCTION. Sure, Scott Storch and Just Blaze have stuff on there but it won't be the same... and how does XXL have him on the cover? Bull****.

Ps. I hope Jay'z new album sucks... just like every other album he's released since 1997.

I'm not even a big Game fan and I kind of think he's a professional biter, but he's better than Lupe Fiasco. Plus, Dre really only produced a few tracks on The Documentary and I really really like Storch, Just Blaze, and Swizz Beatz (who has got to be on Doctor's Advocate, I can't imagine him not being), so I'm excited to hear the album at the very least.

I don't believe you think The Blueprint and The Black Album are bad.

At least we can look forward to a Nas release and hopefully time will fly before the next Blackstar album and whatever T.I. decides to drop next. Ditto for Detox.

Yes..there is no Dre but Will.I.am (spelling?) made a great song called Compton :lui: The whole album is "West Coast style" only thing i hate is that the game mentions Dre`s name way to many times!! i would say atleast in 12 songs of 16 that are on the album...and that is gay...He says it`s a sneek peek of detox... :fool: ...PM me if you need you now what! :ewan:

Whatever, I think the Game is far from being good.... I think Lupe has a lotta potential (his Food & Liquor is far from perfect and he has a lot to work on) but I guess he's the anti-dote to rappers like The Game so he might not suit your style.

The Blueprint and the Black album are enjoyable, but I still think they suck overall. Do I listen to them on a regular basis though? Sure. But I have a bias against Jay-Z so maybe I'm not being fair here...

Oh yeah, there's also a new 2Pac album... The Clipse should be dropping their new album soonish, I'm excited for that. Mos Def keeps pushing his release date too, I'm not sure what to expect from him though. Hope it contains another "Ms. Fat Booty." Mos Def and Talib are supposed to work together sometime next year but I'm not sure. By the way, Talib has an album coming out.... sometime? 2007? Rakim's supposed to be on. Have you listened to The Roots' "Game Theory?"

As long as Talib actually takes his time and brings some decent producers to get the best out of him, he's one of my favorites. But that "Right About Now" album, his last release, was awful. I enjoyed every prior release, but they've been tailing off and he hit rock bottom with Right About Now.

I'm kind of in a mainstream phase right now actually. I've been filling in the gaps with old Wu and stuff like that. Just recently got Sound of Revenge and Tha Carter II which are both okay, but not great in my opinion. I've done a 180 on the South, now I'm a fan, but I still don't put it up with New York by any means. T.I. is probably my favorite artist in the game right now though.

Oh, and I do have Food and Liquor on cassette in my car and I think it's entertaining for sure, and there are definitely some hot tracks on there, but I don't think it's close to The Documentary. But we'll see how Game does without 50 writing his songs.

So i'm not the only one ??? !!!!!!!!!!! FFS every hiphop person I ever talk to acts like im being blasphemous when I say "I don't think Jay-Z's that good".

Anyway I can't wait for Talib's album (don't think Right About Now was that bad, more songs in my regular rotation than most non-Albums), Common's due soonish too I think, Nas, Mos Def too... 2pac (not expecting too much), and I think I read that even IT is coming out with something new soon too. I've also got to go back and hear Roots once my exams are over next week. Lots of (hopefully) good hiphop coming out, should bring me back from my techno and pop-rock phase.

As for The Game, for starters he would be much better if he could go a song without mentioning five different artists. The name dropping is really annoying. But he had moments in The Documentary where he rose above the whole poppy G-Unit garbage, and I'll give this a go.

I'm listening to the Doctor's Advocate right now and my first impression is... "meh."

Apparently Jay-Z performed a diss record aimed towards Pac at the Apollo... but then Pac died and he didn't put out. The Apollo performance wasn't taped but 2000 people were there to witness it. Interesting to say the least since he's all on Pac's nuts nowadays....

I think Brother Ali is supposed to have a new album out soon too. VERY excited for that. Brother Ali is one of those semi-underground guys who is more talented than just about anyone who isn't a legend (Jay, Nas, etc).
