I'm not sure how serious Jose will take the Europa League ... but not playing in UCL gives a huge advantage to United and Chelsea ... I think Conte won the league undefeated the year they didn't play in UCL too

If you are going to play double pivot, I would like to see a midfield like this:

Oscar is useless, not the kind of player I like. Fabregas was excellent at AMF at Arsenal but now he's older not sure if he is still as good there.

Europa is a waste of time. It is a competition for smaller teams like Liverpool. I think Mourinho should play rotation players. Players who are not playing but are good enough like Rashford, Carrick, Lingard, Rojo, Jones, Herrera etc can play in that competition.

Just stop it. Oscar is a brilliant player and for a system like Conte's he is perfect. Oscar is complete; amazing positioning, creative, can score from distance, and works his ass off for 90 minutes. I think Cesc could be useful in a deeper role at home against weaker opponents, but he is no Oscar and especially in that system.

I don't know much about Conte system yet so I didn't take that into consideration. I prefer Fabregas because he is very good at through balls, scores more goals when played in a more advanced position (Scored 15 goals when played as AMF for Arsenal one season), is more creative and makes more assists.

I agree and that was pretty evident last season. He was pretty good the season before though but at 29, he is past his peak given that he played at top level at a pretty young age.

Oscar has done shit so far. You should keep Cesc but he barely gets minutes under Conte. I don't see where he could go.

James would be awesome as a 10 in your team.

You don't know what the fuck you're talking about. No one has ever done anything until they actually get in the right situation and do it. The Golden State Warriors hadn't "done shit" in 2015 and guess what, they won the title. Lahm and Schweinsteiger hadn't "done shit" until 2013 and then they won the Champions League and World Cup. Were those players and teams shit until they actually won the titles they sought? Or was it a change in the situation that led to them proving themselves to you when their quality was never in doubt to people who actually know what the fuck they're talking about?

Conte likes energy and commitment and a full buy in to his system. James would be a terrible buy IMO and that's why it hasn't happened. Oscar is the best possible attack minded midfielder for Conte.

We want to sell cesc but no one will buy him

That says a lot, but much like Juan Mata, with some of these specialty players who are still in their prime, there are really only a handful of clubs they would actually play for unless they pulled a Huntelaar or something. Maybe with Milan being sold there will be another club to buy some of these players.

Kante-Matic is a boring partnership but very highly effective. When I watched this game, I realized that Chelsea does non need creativity in central midfield because they already have a creative trio in front of them. They play better this way than with Fabregas but I would still like Fabregas been tried in Oscar's position.

Yeah it's an excellent partnership. I would love us to have one more bid for Nainggolan now that Roma are not in the CL, and to offload Fabregas some how some way. That plus a centre back I revise my scepticism about us cracking top four.

It's been confirmed that we have made a '£30m+' bid to resign David Luiz from PSG......... err?

Couldn't believe it when I saw this rumor but it's legit. If it does happen, then you can make up from the Matic's "expensive" 20 million pounds loan.

I don't know how I feel about it. It looks like a deal can be reached but not for that price, closer to £40m. There are some names out there I would prefer (Koulibaly, Romagnoli) but it seems that those players are just impossible to buy. I never regarded Luiz as 100% reliable but my standards for Chelsea defenders are not as high as they used to be. I would prefer him than nothing I guess.
