It doesn´t work!!
The option to change controller-configuration is there. But I can´t assign any new ones! The game doesn´t respond when I push a button on my controller!
I got two Saitek X6-34U USB-controllers (recognised as "2 axes, 8 buttons contoller" in windows) and they worked in every fifa-game up to date and every other game as well!
I also tried with just one controller plugged in, with no difference in result...
It doesn´t work!!

dunno about the rest of you, but the patch was a complete failure for me.
Everything patched fine, all the new options are there, etc.

I don't have an "approved" gamepad it seems (Nyko air-flow), so I'm curious what other people are finding here. If you do have an approved gamepad (listed in the /data/system/config.dat file), does the controller config work for you?

Why the hell is the Nyko Air Flo not supported? Seriously, it has become really popular, so it doesn't make any sense that the game does not support this pad. I am so upset. I bought mine a couple of days ago especially for FIFA 2004, and now it doesn't even work right in the game...
Yeah is that crap or what? It's a great gamepad that works great in every other game. But on fifa all the buttons are outta whack and a couple don't even work.
The more I think about this, the more it seems that EA took kickbacks from some gamepad companies to include thier products as the *only* working gamepads for the game. What other reason whould they have for only including a handfull of controllers that work properly?

I am now hoping Winning Eleven 7 will be a good one. If so, FIFA from EA will be out of my life forever.

can someone please list the files of the patch and what exact folders they need to be copied to ....... i have downloaded all the files but do not know where they need to be copied. I cant beleive how many people are having problems with this patch ..... its very annoying!!!

YOU MUST HAVE ORIGINAL FIFA2004.EXE IN YOUR COMPUTER OTHERWISE THE PATCH IS CANCELED BEACUSE THE FILE WONT CLAP !! Does anibody have original fifa2004.exe ? I have the rip where it is already cracked ! Could somebody upload it somewhere !

So EA your new game is full of bugs.Why this?Why did I have to pay 50 Euros for a non final program?Beyond that I like the f#%^$ game a lot but the sluggish menu is the worst.I can't stand it anymore.The game also for the fisrt time stopped me in the middle of a game and thrown me out in the desktop.Never in Fifa history since 96 a fifa game logged me to desktop.Such a bad code?

They have paniliakos in the new fifa.These guys in EA are insane.Akou ton paniliako.Valte kai ton vizanta re papares.

Just wondering, is anyone else having severe problems with the mouse response throughout the various menus? For instance, when working on the lineups in the team management screen, i have to click on players at least twice, usually three to four times to get them to actually be selected. Aside from that, the mouse tends to flash when it's moving, and totally disappears when idle. I usually have to hold the mouse button down for about 2-3 seconds before it actually registers a response to what i've clicked on. Extrememly annoying.
