Official PC Patch Details & Installation Issues

My game arrived by post, about an hour ago- and already the patch is available for Direct IP etc.- excellent!

ive tried patching it via the website ... and by downloading and running home2.html .... but still aint working ..... its says patch installed via the web .... and no patch needed when going through home2.html ..... can someone please tell me what folders all the downloaded files go into.

look at ur fifa folder.. if there are new readme files then ur patch is installed.

Ok mine works fine, but I can't seem to configure my GamePad. I press at Lob\Agressive tackle, and the game doesn't respond, I pressed ALL buttons, nothing. I had to Alt+crtl +del it ...
any solution to this?

I press "Check for the patch" and nothing. I've been waiting for an hour! Not even any "Patch avaliable" etc. I'am on DSL by the way. I've tried 3 different browsers. How to fix this thing?

TO EVERYBODY HAVING PROBLEMS DOWNLOADING THE PATCH:

i was in the same situation, I RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE to turn off any firewall or security program before going to the website. My Zone Alarm pro was blocking some functions in the code of the page an I was always geting the PATCH INSTALLED, or NO PATCH NEEDED messages after clicking the download patch button, after turning it off now I can download it. It is still not ready and I have not checked of the patch works, but at least now I can download it. Try it, disable anything that hides your IP headers, any coockie managers, firewalls and web code cleaners and go to the page. Please post your results.

I don't have any internet-connection on the computer I use for gaming. Is the any possibilities to upgrade FIFA 2004 without a connecting to internet? A downloadable exe-file maybe?
I can't play without re-assigning the controllers...

Ok the patch was aplyed but as other hundrends out there I cannot asign my controls! I cannot choose anything in the control configure screen. The other options in the patch (detail and multiplayer) are there.
I am using a thrustmaster Firestorm Dual Power 2 gamepad.
Any help is greatly apreciated.

I suspected that might be an issue.

Anyone have any suggestions for those behind routers? I guess we'll need to know which ports to open up to allow this update. I hope EA releases a seperate executable patch!

i have now the direct-ip option. but no save replay, and control assignment freezes when i want to choose a button.. any help?

Well does anyone know if they will be coming out with a newer patch to fix the patch, good job EA . Anyway it didn't fix my only problem being that I use a PS2 converter my right anolog stick still doesn't work if they don't have a newer patch that fixes this or there isn't a way to fix it I will be buying new controllers, yea wast of money but I really want to play this game. I guess my question is does anyone know what controllers work for PC?
