Not even the Copa America was worth the sacrifice.
The Copa started very strongly, there were some cracking matches early in the group stage. Chile x Mexico was probaly the most entertaining match I've watched all year, CL football included.

Hate to break it to you but the level of play from Copa America will not be even close in the Gold Cup. You'll see a lot of fouls, bad passing, bad finishing, gaffes and a lot of bus parking. It's a chore to watch basically until the semis and even then it still is sub par.

Partially watched Costa Rica x Jamaica yesterday, wasn't that bad. Kind of disappointed I missed Canada x El Salvador too. (H)

Just heard one of the best Cuban players has deserted the team and they will only have 5 players on the bench. Gold Cup (H)

Too easy for Mexico. No work for Reyes and Herrera had a couple of quality moments.

Did Cuba automatically qualify for this? I honestly can't remember such a weak team playing a (locally) high-profile competition. They just don't know what to do with the ball and are tactically ignorant even in the simple things.

They have to qualify via de Caribbean Cup, but gotta go against powerhouses like Martinique, Antigua and Barbuda, Haiti, French Guiana, and Curacao.

Hahahaha, welcome to the CONCACAF, brah.

The Legend
Cuba finished 2nd in a group that also had Trinidad & Tobago, Curacao, and French Guiana in it. They played T&T after T&T had already qualified for the Gold Cup.

Piojo is loosing it. He's had plenty of games since the end of the world cup to find his team and yet he hasn't.

the way things are looking, it looks like his luck has ran out.
