Jon Busch (UNC Charlotte graduate (Y)) was number 3 on the SC top 10 tonight with a sicknasty save against DC although the Fire still lost in the last minute of stoppage.

DC is now off the cellar of the East. If Emilio starts scoring for them with any consistency they will be dangerous.

In other news, the Crew have now lost 3 in a row :munch:

What a pathetic showing vs. Chivas USA tonight. They keep talking about what we'd have to give up to get McBride, but after tonight's game I'm not sure if we have anything that Toronto want. Even if we get McBride, we're still screwed long-term - it's never a good thing when your team's two best players are 35+ years old (not to mention injury-prone).

Hope these rumours about Nobby Solano going LA turn out to be true. The guy is an absolute class act, could bring a lot to the team and league.

Aren't the semis already fixed? I thought I saw Houston/Pachuca and N.E./Atlante. Chivas are still crying about their elimination and on top of that they lost their starting GK(Michel) to a broken arm, significant loss because the cat is NT material.

It sucks that Santos couldn't find their futbol untill the last game of the group stage, I thought they were the strongest contender on the Mexican side since they're that reigning champs in the Mexican League.

I'm rooting for Atlante I guess.

As long as an MLS team wins it I'll be happy although I see Pachuca repeating. This competition is going to be completely worthless once the CCL starts later this year.

Blanco MoM so far, no doubt

right jimmorrison?

I would say so, with superb assist to Gomez for 1st goal and then an excellent

2nd goal after breaking defenders back and putting it past the keeper....

Blanco :bob:

hm, so i was just thinking about how appropriate it is that McBride will be finishing his career less than an hour's drive from his home town. special, that.

Great first half (Superliga final). The New England tying goal was an absolute beauty, the was it was started and the way it was finished, an absolute beauty.

You can always count on these two teams giving the fans a hell of a game in a final. I actually see the Revs finally winning a trophy against Dynamo. They were the better side in the first half I think.
