Free agent signing period started Tuesday. Chargers picked up RB Donald Brown from the Colts. Ok back-up, I guess. We need to address the DT, OLB, and CB positions but obviously one of those will be with our 1st round draft pick.

A lot of rumors floating around, but one that caught my eye was the possible signing of WR Steve Smith. I love that guy. Fierce, FIERCE competitor.

Whoever Smith signs for is going to get an extremely motivated receiver for a year. If I was running NO, ATL, or TB I'd sign him up today.

I dont get it, I think he's the 2nd best player on your team so it makes no sense. My fear is that there's something we dont know, unless he's about to catch a charge or has a serious injury its a head scratcher.

The reason was explained. I am sure that you know it.

Regardless of whether the team reacted appropriately or not, he should never have put himself in that position to begin with.

Also, I think that disciplinary issues crept in. Last season he did not play due to missed practice(s)....plural, if I remember correctly. No matter who you are, you don't do that. You don't put yourself in the position he was in. You don't give the team an excuse.
