I thought last season's home kit was the one honouring the Busby Babes? Wasn't that why they were allowed to make a one-off kit for last season, which would have otherwise violated the 2 seasons per new jersey rule? And if the anniversary is taking place this season, then why was the commemorative jersey made last season?

What about the money that was/will be raised from selling last season's shirts and these special Busby Babes kits? Is it funding all these Munich memorials? (And are all of them really necessary?) Does it go to some charity? Is it donated to the (still) grieving widows and ex-girlfriends?

I'm sorry if I offend anyone, but while I agree with taking a moment to remember those who passed away, and even have a section of United's museum dedicated to them, I feel this is going a bit too overboard ... seems a bit too shamelessly capitalistic to try and "capitalize to the fullest" on this "opportunity".

Last season's kit commemerated their league championship in 1957.

That lead them to being able to play in the European Cup on 57/58, where they met their deaths.

The club constantly makes memorials and over the last 50 years has contributed so much money already in supporting those affected by the tradgedy, not least a Manchester City player, who was working as a journalist and perished.

The kits worn by the players on Feb 10th will not be sold, no replicas made, no sponsors will adorn the kit, as a Barca fan, you know how hard it is for a club to back away from that kind of money.

The fans of Manchester pushed hard for this, and they got their wishes, yet some people still say we're trying to make money out of a tradedy.

With the turquoise shorts and socks it definitely looks like a cast off of the PSV third kit from a few seasons back!
