NEW! Biggy's Gameplay Update For FIFA 06 V.2 !

Man, what do you mean by size???!!!! The pitch in fifa is smaller and everything else is smaller than reality... It's not like the players are 7 feet tall...

Fifa 06 is a scaled down version of real soccer, didn't you learn about scaling down objects in school? you know math and stuff...

I also had a timer to see how much time dose it take a player to run from one end to the other of the pitch, and the results are nearly the same as in the game.

Man, please make more sense when you are talking about sizes and stuff.

Equation: The time the ball has to travel in reality is divided by the percentage of scale inside the game. The game imitates reality, so if the ball needs 5 seconds to fly in reality then it has to take nearly same time (4.8 - 5.2) inside the game.

And yes, I forced the ball to imitate reality, what should I do other than that? Let it change on its own??!!

NK, be clear with your comments...

Peace!

Agreed

No I agree Biggy, the ball physics and passing speed are a lot better in your 2.5. I tried messing around with the passing speed here this morning and I think you've got it right.

I think NK's high passing speed and making the fast players ultra fast really created a high-speed match unlike real football. That combined with weak defensive modifications made it too easy, even on Legendary, where I hauled @zz on every team I played.

I've been messing around with the three files like before and seem to be getting some better games than before. I've had some thrillers with my mods yo your 2.5

I've attached what I'm playing with right now.

One thing though....when I play the game seems to glitch or stumble a bit at times...I think maybe because I left my computer on overnight and was making some faces earlier that perhaps its a little buggy at the moment after opening and closing FIFA etc a hundred times. Check if you have the same problem....I doubt it could be the gameplay.

I actually got the cash from a prize in which I won first place in a short movie competition. I wanted a PC that will allow me to Edit Video and Audio without having any lags or crashes, and I think that I'm enjoying this self-designed PC. I love it, especially the fact that I set all of my games to the highest levels of video and audio quality. haha.

It's not about how much money you've got, it's about how well you'd spend that money... :)

Peace!

Nice. A good input of cash would do me nicely :)

Yo Biggy, I finally found time to test deeply your gp and I have to say that the ai.ini and physics settings are really excellent, a new quality standard for fifa gameplays. The problems I found are related to the cpudiff.ini settings: difficulty is VERY easy at World Class level (the one that should be the hardest): I've played 5 matches without been able to lose a single one and scoring a lot of goals. What I did is then use my old cpudiff.ini settings contained in the last version of CEP and.. finally I think I found my definitive gameplay combination: a lot of variety of situations, the game very hard, realistic matches and results. I suggest you to test if you have time these settings to see if you agree that the resulting combination is finally what we've looking for (the following are the WC settings):

[CPUWC]
CPU_BAD_PASS_PERCENT = 0
CPU_SETPLAY_AGGRESSION = 112
CPU_SETPLAY_ACCURACY = 112
CPU_GOALIE_SKILL = 66
CPU_BAD_TACKLE_PERCENT = 0
CPU_BAD_MARKBALL_PERCENT = 0
CPU_INTERCEPT_SKILL = 30
CPU_CLOSEDOWN_SPEED_SCALE = 990
CPU_GOOD_CLOSEDOWN_PERCENT = 123
CPU_NORMAL_SPRINT_PERCENT = 62
CPU_AGGRESIVE_DIF_TEAM_TIME = 255
CPU_AGGRESIVE_DIF_PLAYER_TIME = -10
CPU_CALL_2ND_DEFENDER_TIME = -8
CPU_MIN_TIME_UPDATING_FREEDIR = 0
CPU_MIN_TIME_UPDATING_TACTIC = -8
CPU_MIN_TIME_UPDATING_RELAY_TACTIC = -10
CPU_MIN_TIME_RELEASE_BALL = -14
CPU_TIME_START_TO_AVOID_FROM_JOSTLING = -11
CPU_FREQUENCY_USING_SPECIEL_DRIBBLE = 228
CPU_LIMIT_MARKED_RATING_TO_CLEARANCE = 100

CPU_ACTION_ERROR_RATE = -9
CPU_SHOT_ACTION_SKILL = 90
HUMAN_GOALIE_SKILL = 66
HUMAN_INTERCEPT_SKILL = -10

Let me know, I will absolutely suggest all the CEP users to use these new combination and your gp with these changes.

I pasted the values Ockham suggested into the current Biggy's 2.5 cpudiff.ini and have to agree that it makes the game a lot harder (but also still great fun)
Perhaps a combination of the two will result in the best gameplay patch to date ? Just wanted to say thanks to everyone involved in both CEP and the various gameplay patches being made available. Judging by a lot of the feedback I see on these forums you certainly don't appear to receive much gratitude for your work.

Don't be childish and read the posts, grow up. Everyone know and is wrote everywhere that the cep contained your v2 settings (without the brilliant gk cheat): you've release four new releases after that changing each time everything and obtaining each time a worse result.

Actually you are using v3. I know that because I kept the updates and checked the files and it is v3 of the settings you are using. Actually that wasn't a cheat in v3 ockham. The original EA settings for CPU/human keeper were much more 'CPU advantage' in terms of difficulty, with a harder to beat CPU keeper and a dumb user keeper.

As for my last 2 attempts, a worse result is still progress!! I'll take it on the chin :)

Besides I think you'll like v6, it'll come with some cool installation options and one of them will be something you've asked me to do for a while, except it'll be improved.

Sorry if I came across very serious in my post, I was actually taking the p*ss out of myself lol.
Stay cool man,
NK.

Hi.
I am starting tunning my gameplay settings. I play in Semi-pro level.
What files i need to edit for editing the cpu teams abillities. its only the cpudiff file?.
I want to play with biggy´s gameplay speed and ball physics. this info is in ai.ni right?.

Yepp... You'll find most of the stuff related to physics in the ai.ini file, and for the CPU game style you'll have to edit cpudiff.ini... These 2 files have 98% of the stuff that can effect the gameplay and physics. So, start on editing and let us know if you find out something new or interesting by posting your replies in this thread. :)

If you need explanation for any code that you don't understand, just let us know.

Peace!

I'm liking the new update, plays very well. Best yet i feel. So far i do not notice any problems with this update at all. I even scored my favourite type of goal; i've never scored it before in 06 (could do in 05 quite a bit) so i'm happy. I play in World Class.
Well done on the great update. Your gameplay could even become the definitive FIFA 06 improvement! :D
Cheers

Credits go to everyone who is trying to improve this gameplay, especially Dave and Ockham... :)

We will keep working on this update until we reach to a point where we can satisfy everybody (I hope).

I'm also thinking of changing the name of this update to universal name in which a team is involved in modifying the files, not only me, Biggy. Any new name suggestions are most welcome.

Peace!

I think everyone just wants to see realistic, challenging football. We're always going to be restrained in some way by the FIFA siftware itself, but the default is horrible to be sure.

I'm enjoying the challenge of the 2.5+ (with altered settings) and the CPU is attacking me and scoring goals out of nowhere.Sometimes they still have low shot totals but they'll nab a goal that I've never seen them try before ever. The CPU is juts never going to shoot as much as the User because I take shots from everywhere and the CPU is more calculated.

This morning along with that Harewood goal above, I had West Hams Teddy Sheringham (ex-United) in the top of the box against me shoulder my defender (Neville) then as the cross came in he took it down as he spun and low-sidekicked it past Van Der Sar. I had to watch the replay in disbelief a few times as the CPU had never done that to me before. Hats off to Teddy !!

It's finally fun again.

Dave
