NEW! Biggy's Gameplay Update For FIFA 06 V.2 !

Biggy - Nice update - BUT the CPU does NOT attack enough - on World Class in a 16 min match I outshot West Ham 16-3 using Man United.
Anyway to get the CPU to come at you harder?

-ExittheLemming, thank you so much man, me and NK will try our best always to deliver the best to all of you out there.

-10Ruud, Thanks man! Waiting for your interesting full feedback.

-NK, I would appreciate it if you look through my files and use them for our next update, these are my latest updates and I'll keep you noticed with anything new from now on. :)

-Bossman, Back up the following files:

1. config.dat (Located in "C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\FIFA 06")
2. ini.big (Located in "C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\FIFA 06\data\cmn")

-RicFlair, it seems that I'm not that good in adjusting the CPU's attacking, I always seem to miss up. anyways, I hope that NK's GPU v5 will have all what we like in it, if not, then just wait for our next release. Thanks man for the feedback. :)

I'm going to go try the new 2.4 version. With 2.3 or any update for that matter it seems that the CPU doesn't attack very well.

NK had it pretty good in one of his updates (V3?) but I don't think I even have that one anymore and besides, I have probably gotten even better, so it may seem like less attacking now than it did then.

BTW, I installed a clean FIFA06 on a new HD so that I could cleanly install the new CEP and I played that game against the classic XI team that FIFA06 challenges you to when you first install the game.

I can remember losing 2-0 or 3-1 or soemthing when I first installed FIFA06 using of course the default World Class gameplay.

I did the same thing out of curiosity this morning agter I installed the game. World Class (legendary isn't unlocked yet in my clean install), 6 minute halves, I beat the livin' you know what out of the Classic XI ....13-0. Rooney had five, RVN 4, and four other solo efforts.

It made me realize how far these gameplay have come. The most I've scored so far on Biggy's 2.3 was 6, on Legendary 6 minute halves.

v5 attacking is much more intense than v3 or v4 :) I believe biggy's v2.4 to be good attacking, they just seem to hold off a lot though.

Biggy, you gameplay is also very interesting...

But i prefer NK's, bcoz the CPU attacks with more... let's say... intentionality and conviction...

But anyway, i hope you an NK can improve CPU attacking and defensive game in the next releases... CPU has to close the "open spaces" in the defence, the closedown has to be quicker and more "agressive" (but that doesn't mean that the CPU has to hit me to get the ball.... he has to be "inteligently agressive" when marking my forwards ;)...

And the CPU has to be more agressive too when attacking... in Biggy's GPU, 95% of the time the CPU can't even manage to enter in my penalty area with the ball in his possession... that means that.... the attack is very very weak! :(

Hey Biggy...have played five or six games here tonight trying out some new faces and your gameplay and I must commend you. While I'm still not convinced that the CPU is attacking aggressively enough, I was having a good fight with West Ham (me as United) through a six game run. You seemd to up the defence even more (I play in Legendary) and it was harder to score. The passes are more realistic and the CPU passes the ball a little sharper and with more intent. They evade tackles better as well.

I may just try to go tweak the attacking myself and see what I can come up with because I think you may be 90% there.

Thanks guys for the feedback.

I do agree with you all that the attacking on my update is a little bit weak (maybe very weak), I don't know what am I missing. Exerslow, get me updated if you find the solution.

The weired problem is that when I change even the smallest code it'll always effect the gameplay of the CPU, I mean even changing the ball velocity seems to be effecting the way the CPU attacks! weired but true.

I also found out that the Fifa 06 system calculates some of the codes in cpudiff.ini in a different way than I thought, in other words, let us say that I have the CPU_ACTION_ERROR_RATE set on 0 for legendary and on 1 for WC, on 2 for PR, 8 on AM and 15 on BG, if you change the AM value to 30, the WC gameplay feel will become easier! Here is way:

-The CPU calculates the values 0, 1, 2, 8 and 15 where it thinks that 15 is the easiest and it builds for these numbers it's own scale, for example on this case, 0 = 0%, 1 = 6.6%, 2 = 13.3, 8 = 53%, 15 = 100%. Do you get what I mean.

The problem in this calculation is that whenever you change, for example, the value of the AM to 30, then a New system comes up, where 2 = 6.6%, 8 = 26.6% and 30 = 100%.

The percentage value = the chances that the CPU will have action errors, as mentioned in the code. You can see that this becomes very confusing, I mean you have to take a very special care about each number you plug, and that's where I think my problem is coming from.

I'll see what I can do, and I'll keep you all updated, keep giving me your feed backs on whatever you find or figure out. :)

I hashed together a gameplay by perusing yours, NK's, Ockhams, Billys etc. and I'm going to go play five or six games right now.

Stay Tuned.

Haha, sounds interesting I look forward to the results!!!

'Guys the pitch colour was purple, the ball moved at 1mph at times, then fell like a rocket, the shooting, well.......the firework scored every shot, IT WAS GREAT! Oh and there were no goalkeepers........GET IN!!'

Just kidding, I think it should be quite interesting to play.

Best gameplay experience I've had yet!!

Well, I just had the most fun I can recentrly remember.....I altered three of the files located in the various gameplay mods and I only had time to play two games.....

Game 1.....Man Utd(me) V Tottenham. I won in penalties 5-4 after a 2-2 regulation draw.
They scored two great goals including a Defoe header early into the second extra time that I thought mught do me in. I had brought on Van Nistelrooy at the end of the first extra time to play three across with Rooney and Saha.

I was finding their defence really hard to crack....until Park headed a loose ball over the head of the defender to Ruud who smashed a shot from the corner of the box, which Robinson saved, before Ruud followed it up with a quick chest down and followup nudge that slid it under Robinson at point blank range.....at the death of extra time.

Gaby Heinze......who I brought on in the 2nd extra time to see his new face I made...slotted home the 5th penalty to sink the Spurs 5-4 in the shootout!!

The shots were Man Utd (11/8 on target) to Spurs (13/9 on target). Spurs also had a 58%-42 in possession. They were dominating me for long stretches. I took 5 fouls on them around the box, three in succession at one point. They were ceratinly significantly more offensive....FINALLY!!

Game Two again V Tottenham. This time I won 4-1, which seems a downright pounding given the first game but behold....I slotted home two penalties by Van Nistelrooy..once when Ruud was hauled down by the keeper and another near the end when Ronaldo was hauled down dancing around in the box...it was fantastic!

Rooney opened the scoring after he headed home a rebound after a helacious Giggs blast from the top of the box that Robinson barely tipped away...though Right into Rooneys path....

Then Jermaine Jenas stole the ball from Neville and chipped Van Der sar to level the score. What a great goal and it happenned so fast!!

Van Der Sar was turning away some great blasts by Defoe and Mido...when I sprang Van Nistelrooy with a chip into the box over the defenders head (I will upload the replay its great) and while trying to stuff in the shot Robinson hauled Ruud down...PENALTY.

At the half 2-1. Late in the second half, with Tottenham pressing, I resumed possession, darted some passes around the midlfeild before finding Giggs on a run down the center....He wasn't completely clear so I dragged the defenders before squaring for Rooney who redirected the pass past Robinson for 3-1.

With Spurs really desperate...they pushed everyone up and were being stymied, had shots blocked, defenders cleared with a header four or five consecuitive times..it was pressure....then I managed to dart in front of a wing pass, race down the middle with Park , waste some time moving to the sideline and shielding before I found a Cristiano Ronaldo with a through ball into the crowded box.....with very little space I pulled back, juked , faked a shot, and tried to stop and go to get toward the end line, when the defender just plain slide tackled me in frustration no less!!!!!!It was thrilling.

Ruud calmly slotted home another penalty to finish the scoring at 4-1.

The stats.....Shots Man Utd 4/4 on target (guess they don't count penalties) to Spurs 11/8. Spurs Possession 51%-49% again I was beaten in posession.

All in all two thrilling games!!

Here are the three files I altered....If everybody knows whaat they're doing they can just overwrite by using Filemaster or whichever App they prefer...try it out...I really like it so far. Take backups remember.

I look forward to it, but so far I've yet to have the CPU attack me like I did today. Keep inmind this was with 6 minute halves on Legendary.....And I've probably never given up more than 10 shots in a game for a couple months. So someone playing with a lesser team might really have a hard time winning with those settings.

I was suprised the way the CPU triesd some lobs over my defenders to their forwards and how some shots they took from weird angles and spots they don't normally try from. Usually they just try to push it out to the wing and cross. I had Carrick repeatedly trying to lob to Mido and Defoe (and Later Keane) over my defenders.....that never happens. Also, they tried a few really long passes from their own end. I hauled down Mido when he raced onto the end of one.

If Jenas was better at taking free kicks I might've got shelled big time because in the fuirst game all the fouls I commited were near my box. Jenas had 3 or 4 free kicks and they had a couple indirect.

Biggy,

2.4 is perfect for my taste.

It is missing only the sound of the net after scoring a goal.

How can i turn it louder?

Thank you.

I said you had it 90%...I had an idea what might make thee attacking a shade (or three) better.. and took a shot in the dark..hahah...I know, I'm not at home but have been dying to play as well after those first two games...

I failed to mention in my original post with the files that I used Biggy's 2.4 as the base and then overwrote those three files I uploaded....just so everyone knows
