we beat Indiana on sunday because Calderon didn't play.
I firmly stand with my opinion on him since the beginning of the season. I've watched almost every Raptors game and whenever Calderon comes into the game we immediately lose our lead and stop scoring and commit more turnovers.
Just thought I'd put in my Calderon rant.

calderon is gonna be solid once he's healthy..he's been playing with a foot injury the whole year ... let's give him a year to adjust his euro game to the nba... I'm looking forward to good things from him next year
he's only averaging 1.7TO and 4.6AST while playing 23.4minutes.. his worst TO game was 6 and it only happened once.. twice with 5TOs... it's not him ... he has been playing with the 2nd unit guys the past 2 months and the raptors aren't that deep a team..
my only problem with him is his shooting... he's uncharacteristically missing shots.. he was a solid 3pt shooter while he was playing with Tau... in the nba 16%3pt
thought I might as well voice my calderon support

bargnani has been getting some good news lately playing for benneton although I have yet to see him play... he's back being a candidate for the #1pick... aldridge staying one more year in college? rudy gay athletically gifted but just don't bring it every game?

but if you paid attention during the games you would see how everytime when Calderon comes in for James the opposition would make a mini-run because the Raptors would stop scoring and continue crappy defending. Calderon's game is way too limited, he can't shoot the jumpshot and he can't drive. All he is capable of doing is run across the 3-pt arc back and forth, wind down the shot clock, and either give a lazy turnover or pass to a covered teammate. Mike James winds down the shot clock a lot as well, but he is capable of driving and making shots. I'm sorry but I will always have my beef against Calderon because he just frustrates me way too much, especially with his trademark "lob pass to Bosh but straight to the defender" turnovers.
With Calderon sitting out we've won 2 straight. And tonight Darrick Martin putting on a show! Even he has more weapons than Calderon! He can knock down the open jumper and he has the basketball IQ. Sweet victory tonight, what a fantastic 4th quarter. And Joey G. playing very well once again!
18 points and 12 assists with 2 steals and only 1 turnover. D-mart went all Steve Nash on the Sixers LOL...
I've watch a some calderon games before he joined the raptors and he should be better than what he is now... next season he will be better... same thing happened to saras jasikevicus started the year great and then as the season goes so does his game...

who do you reckon we'll draft this summer, Carlos*y?
I'm thinking we should be going for a SG or PG as Mo-Pete is the only SG we have and Calderon sucks and James is a FA. I'm a big fan or Redick and I think he'd fit our style of play but I wouldn't mind Rudy Gay or Morrison if we get the chance.

I'm not too sure about it.. but we should be looking for a sg in the draft... I wouldn't mind if we package the pick with sth for a center if there is a trade available...
I haven't seen enough ncaa ball this year to make judgement on anyone really.. I haven't even seen anything with morrison yet.. only read things about him
