according to 'the insider' NY is offering Marbury+filler for Dalembert+filler
wow... Starbury and AI in the same backcourt...I'd like to see this... We might actually witness one player trying to steal the ball from a teammate for the first time ever... Can two selfish players co-exist? LOL

Even if we don't see this trade we'll still see Q and Starbury on the same team. :funny:

This trade is great for the Suns, I've always thought Amare would be much better at the 4. Marion can play anywhere, and he'll be great at 3 - playing power forward stifled his all round game.

now that ray allen is off th market
do u think Redd will resign with the bucks?? I think if the bucks let him walk it'll be a big loss... but if they sign him for max then it feels like he's not really that worth it... he's an awesome player no doubt but not a franchise type player worth your max contract...

and lebron is personally recruiting Redd.... and playing near his hometown would be really attractive

The recruitment of Redd is bigger than money, even though the Bucks can offer more it is pretty much if he wants to play 2nd fiddle to Bogut or to James and where he sees there is more potential to win. I'd choose James but Bogut is definately tough to say no to because of all the attention he would grab in the paint.

Redd is fine with the Bucks. But hic chances of making the playoffs are remote. Not that the Cavs are a powerhouse (Iglauskas is set to go) but at least their chances of stealing a playoff spot are fair.

As fas as Q Rich and Marbury co-existing goes, i think is early to judge. I mean if Frye plays center we have a fine starting 5. Marbury, Frye, Richardson, Tim Thomas and Crawford.

I would keep Jerome Williams as a defenside opstion and Sweetney and Malik Rose. I would use Ariza, Taylor, Penny and Butler to get a center. Ultimately there are talks on Iglauskas, but he aint no Knick material.

haha what a ******* idiot. he screwed himself by doing that, and has put himself in a black hole. he gave up a chance to be a perenial conteder year after year with seattle so he could suffer in a black hole like portland. they had a horrible draft, and have not adressed any of their issues. nice job there you retard, you deserve what you get. chase the money, because you can do a hell of a lot more with 6 million then with 3 you ******* deuche :lui:

Mike Redd won't play second fiddle to Andrew Bogut, that's rediculous. Redd is the best player and leader of the team.

McMillan to the Blazers, wow totally did not see that coming. He totally punked Ray Allen.

Was just about to say the same thing. Bogut will be like Yao on the Rockets.

Not in this case it doesn't. Yao is a good example. Bogut isn't going to be a 25 point guy or a 12 rebound guy, but he's going to make everyone around him better. He's no star though, and he CERTAINLY won't be the star of the team, in fact he's below Mason as well on the food chain, and if TJ comes back as good as ever, he's below him as well.

EDIT: Regarding the knicks post at the top of the page, I wouldn't trade Ariza under any circumstances. He's 20 years old and a potential star, I'd rather have him than Thomas or Houston.

looks like Redd is off the FA market now
The unrestricted free agent agreed to a six-year deal worth between $90 million and $96 million, according to his agent, Kevin Poston. The Cavaliers had offered a five-year deal worth about $70 million, the most they could offer.

I kind of starting to feel bad for lebron... he's not getting any help in cleveland... but the summer is still long and there's still a few nice FA out there... larry hughes is next on the list?

LeBron is gonna leave Cleveland anyway next year (thats when his contract ends right) so no point in bringing in FA's.

no he doesnt... **** markets the guys one of the best players to hit the game. all he needs is a shooter and a halfway decent pg and an actual bench that can come on and give him 5 minutes of rest. he plays such great basketball in cleveland, i would have loved to have seen allen or redd alongside of him. they could have averaged 30 points easily play alongside james.

Nope. The fourth year, 2006-2007 is a team option, which of course Cleveland will pick up. After that they can match any offer for him (as long as they have the cap room), but if no team signs him to an offer sheet (knowing full well that Cleveland will match it) then Bron can sign a one year tender with Cleveland and at the end of that he will be a free agent. He'll be in Cleveland for at least 5 years.

Ariza is to damn small to be a superstar. The max he can get is becoming a fine 6-th man but other than that forget it. It's like Boykins no matter how much talent he has he is still a midget between giants. Big means a lot in the NBA.

Larry Hughes To Sign With Cleveland
8th July, 2005 - 1:07 am

NBADraft.net - After losing out on Ray Allen and Michael Redd, the Cleveland Cavaliers have finally landed their shooting guard.

NBADraft.net is reporting that Washington Wizards guard Larry Hughes is headed to the Cleveland Cavaliers for a deal that averages $12 million a year.

However, while the articles notes that the deal runs through 2012, under new CBA rules players can only receive a five-year deal if they are signing with a new team so the deal can only run through 2010.

Last season, Hughes had his best season as a pro averaging 22 points, 6.3 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 2.9 steals

Lebron, Hughes, Ilgauskas.... that is a pretty damn good core to build a team around.... now if only they had a point guard.....
